Sure, that sounds great. If you don't over-eat to make up for the extra exercise, you'll probably lose some weight.

Generally speaking- it's OK to do aerobic activities every day. Your body will tell you if it's having a problem with the daily activity (pain is a good indicator to stop). But often you can rest, ice, elevate, recover and begin to run again in a day or 3.
For strength training activities, where you work your muscles to fatigue, it's best to give the muscles 2-3 days to recover.
Will it do anything- heck yeah! Great cardiovascular workout. Will get your heart and lungs in shape. Give you more energy. Make you feel better, sleep better, etc etc.
Exercise is the fountain of youth!

I use to do it and really had no serious problems. Where a good running shoe like New Balance, and buy a new one every 9-12 months. It puts a lot of wear and tear with your shoe. The treadmill is actually better than running outside since running on cement and asphalt is harder on your feet. You might expect minor stuff like blisters.
You will lose weight if you don't eat too much, and be in better shape. Also your legs might get thinner which might be a negative for you. If you don't want your legs to get thinner set the treadmill for a steep climb and cut the speed and running minutes. You will burn calories faster and build more strength in your legs. Good luck!

Jogging can be hard on the knees and can end up in arthritis later on. Speed walking is better. you can do it 4 times a week with good benefit too, like you can skip wednesdays. You can also include the walking with some other types of exercises to give yourself a more rounded out variety of exercises that work more muscles. Each kind of exercise works certain muscles and not others. Dancing is good exercise, gardening, swimming along with walking.

It sure is...more power to you. I wish i had that resolve. So long as there are no complications from doing so , the daily routine is a plus in your life. Not only is it good for your cardiovascular system and legs, it shows fortitude and will power.

You should be ok. You don't have some pre-existing medical problem like asthma, or heart problems, do you? If you do have a chronic illness, you should always check with your doctor before starting a new exercise plan.

It will help you keep your energy, your sanity, sleep better, and stay fitter.
Wouldn't you like to get out once in a while though and just go for a walk outside?
