What will they put in place of, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."?

NAPHTLI:

Are you, like, off your rocker?

France gave us the statue, but NOT the words.
Oy...some people don't think before they answer.

...and yes, I do realize that conservatives aren't the only ones who want illegal immigration stopped, but they are the MAJOR players in this game.
Again ...THINK before you answer.

Another ignoramus. When that was written America controlled entry into this county. I don't see where it said "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free....oh yes and its okay to come here illegally. Please change your diapers your stinking up the even the Statue of Liberty.

Why are you asking this about conservatives.Exactly what have the "liberals" done for our country lately?
I see you don't like a lot of the answers you have gotten and I am not surprised but these words were not meant to invite every low life scum here as a personal dumping ground.
It was suppose to be "The land of opportunity" but I don't think our forefathers meant free wellfare, free healthcare, free housing and the AMERICANS could go F*CK themselves while they foot the bill!

We are up to our asse-s in huddled masses. coming in legally in appropriate numbers, with skills appropriate to the 20th century workforce needs, is a lot different than what is going on now. That's the problem

When that was written, unlike you being the crowd trying to redefine it's meaning, NO ONE MISTOOK IT TO MEAN ILLEGALLY.

Your trying to change history. I suppose you want to argue when Ellis Island was open, no one was turned away? UNTOLD THOUSANDS WERE AND STILL NO ONE MISUNDERSTOOD IT. YOU DIDN'T SEE PROTESTS FOR IT BECAUSE PEOPLE KNEW WHAT IT MEANT AND YOUR REDEFINING HISTORY WHICH DOESN'T WORK.

They will put 'Our immigration policy is determined by Law, not inscriptions on statues'.

If France sends us a statue with an inscription telling us to shave our butts and walk backwards, will you do it?
