My nutritionist explained you need to break down your daily meals into 6 small meals ( 3 meals and 3 snacks), basically eat something every 3 hours and learn what are the right things to eat. You must drink one and a half litter sof water and at least walk (relatively fast) for 45-60 minutes 4 to 5 times per week. If you do so, should see a change in a couple of months. Be patient. Now, if you suspect a metabolic syndrom, need to have a physical and blood panel work done to get a diagnosis and might need medication for your metabolism to get back to normal. Don't take crap they sell around, talk to your doctor and insist until you are heard.

Supposedly green tea helps as well as splitting your typical 3 meal day into 6 meals.
However, there have been studies to prove the smaller meal theory wrong and I'm not sure how effective green tea is. Metabolism is simply your body's way of burning off calories. If you want to burn more calories, try exercising more.

Schizandra is an herb that has a non-specific balancing effect on metabolism. It also has a number of effects like decreases fatigue and increases natural resistance of the immune system. I believe in the natural way and it just takes time. Hope this helps.

Exercise at least 4-6 times a week. Mix up cardio and weight-training--days you do more cardio, do less weight training, and vice-versa. Eat 6 small healthy meals during the day.

Excercise and do things that will increase your heart rate and breathing rate. Your metabolism it like a bonfire it needs oxygen to burn. Sit up streight and make sure you do nothing to slow your breathing. Sitting on couches and stuff makes it hard to breathe and thus smuthers the fire.
