They treat you like crap, its probably not that though, they probably just have their own issues and problems (mentally i mean). Being family doesn't guarantee anything good.

It seems rather unlikely that your family don't love you. However it is possible, and if you are really concerned about it, it might be true. Another alternative is that you are suffering from some kind of depression, which makes you believe that your family doesn't love you.
Either way, if this is a real concern for you, I would suggest that you try to get some professional help, in order to find out what is wrong. Explain the problem to a teacher you trust at school, or perhaps directly with someone in the administration which deals with these kinds of problems. Your doctor might also help you to contact a psychiatrist. As would your school nurse.

Your family will never hate you no matter what you do. There is always that one little piece of them that is in you (and vice versa). It has been seen even in the biggest/worst child abuse cases, that the parent will still show affection for their child, and they know when they have pushed it too far. (They just don’t know how to stop). If your parents (or any family member) is showing you signs of dislike or anything then you should go and see your school counselor, if you don’t feel comfortable with that then you could always E-Mail me or IM me (For some reason it always says I’m offline but I’m not!) Remember, show your family love and respect and eventually they will show you love and respect in return!)

It's hard to accept that although they are family they may not give you love. This happens in a LOT of families. Even when they say "I love you" their actions may be saying "I do not love you". You have to decide how important their love is to you. If it is talk to them. You may decide that they don't make you feel loved. If you get to know yourself and are careful you can make sure that you get REAL love when you go out in the world on your own. You may have to wait but someday somebody will love you for real and when they do love them back.

I don't think we can ever know for sure how someone else feels. But you do know how YOU feel and that is what is most important.
Do you feel loved by your family? If you do, then you don't have to wonder.
If you don't feel loved by your family, then you probably have a good idea why you don't feel loved and what you need in order to feel loved. If you can express to your family that you don't feel loved and what you need to feel loved, maybe they will respond to your feelings. But if they don't, I'm sure there are other people who will care about your feelings.
I have not seen anyone in my family for 14 years and although my brothers won't see me, I believe that they love me. I just don't think they can stand up to our very abusive mother and risk losing her like I did when I rejected her abuse.
I don't know whether my mother loves me or not; however, it doesn't matter to me because I know she doesn't "act" like she loves me and I don't feel loved by her.
I make sure I surround myself with people who do love me. If you are feeling unloved by your family, I hope you can surround yourself with people who do love you. You can build a "family of choice" that has a positive impact on your life.

Concentrate on yourself, and taking care of yourself. Even if they don't love you (or love you TOO MUCH, till their suffocating love harms you), you still have to learn to love yourself in the long run. Focus on who you are---you are unique and special in the world.

when they don't come visit you in the hospital, and when you get out, they moved and didn't leave a forwarding address. Happened to a friend of mine. She feels she's better off.

your family ALWAYS loves you...the thing is they don't show the love...or they don't know how to show it !
Just remember whenever you were sick, how distressed your family were !
