I ordered a salad from there one time; it was made infront of me and the girl was using brown lettuce! It was seriously not good. I told her that I wanted lettuce that wasn't brown. She sighed, went into the back, and got a new bag of lettuce. She started to make the salad, and that lettuce was brown; as well. I asked her what she thought she was doing! I was so mad! I told her there was no way in hell I would ever eat that and she stared at me looking clueless. I walked out and was disguisted! I haven't went to a subway since. I don't plan on it either. That was ridiculous. I used to like them; not anymore. This one was in MI.

Well, they definitely bake the bread in-store all thru the day, so that's fresh.

As for the other stuff, it's probably quite fresh. It's not like it costs any more to buy fresh produce, it's just a case of how long it sits there which is determined by how many customers pass thru, and subway's are generally pretty busy.

I was the assistant manager at a Subway Restaurant. And yes, it is fresh. We would cut the veggies in the morning for that day's food. The bread was baked fresh daily (and the cookies too) If there was any food left over it was stored in the fridge covered for the next day, but it was not kept longer than one day after is was sliced.

The ones in Los Angeles are. Why do think their ingredients are'nt fresh?. The veggies are fresh, they baked the bread 3 to 4 times a day, The meat is fresh you can tell by looking at the color.

If I am going to have a deli sandwich, I am going to a deli. At least I know the cold cuts aren't pressed, processed fillers.

In Wyoming it's just fine. Now the people they find to hire, they're not too fresh...

probably not as fresh as they would have you think. That stuff is sitting out for hours. It's on ice, probably, and covered, but sitting out nonetheless.
