As a retired mental health practitioner with 20+ years experience, I can tell you that this is no place to ask your question and get a correct answer. Diagnostic criteria are very specifically spelled out for you in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), of whichever version they're into nowadays, whether it be IV, or IV-R, or V . . .. I can also tell you that, even if you can afford that book, you should NEVER diagnose, or try to diagnose yourself. You would be too biased to do a good job, being both the subject and evaluator, so go to a counselor familiar with the DSM, or a psychiatrist, who can listen to your complete story and give you a much more accurate diagnosis than anything you'll ever come close to hear. God Bless you.

You could be but maybe not. Some people like to be isolated, I do and I am not depressed. I enjoy being alone and I am not bi-polar. Some people sleep more than other people. The question to ask yourself, is there something bothering you, is there something you don't feel comfotable with yourself about, are you unhappy with the way you are, do you wish you were different? If you answer no to all of these questions, then you are fine.

I feel bad that I always tell people they should see a profesional about just about anything. But it really is best to see a pshycologist about it. I went and found out I had massive depressive disorder and got the meds.. they made everything better.

It sounds like you could be having a problem - either depression, bipolar, or something else - or it may just be a phase. I would suggest going to a therapist as soon as possible, who will be able to give you a more definite answer.
