Yes. He is too old.
I was in that EXACT situation when I was 17 - it even happened on work. The guy turned out to be a jerk.
You have to ask yourself - why isn't this guy dating 25 year old girls?

If you really like a guy, make sure you get him arrested for statutory rape! No, you idiot. You know it's a stupid idea. He probably doesn't know how young you are, and if he does, he's a scumbag. Find a guy below 21 to date so you don't get him convicted for messing around with a minor. Geez, I thought 17 year olds were smarter. In fact, just skip the guys altogether and concentrate on school--make sure to read a bunch of stuff on teenage mothers and birth control and welfare. Read about child exploitation and labor laws and the fight to get Planned Parenthood and safe birth control and Roe vs. Wade. Educate yourself and you'll see what a bad idea it is to even call him. If he truly loves you (and he probably doesn't, but this is hypothetical), he'll wait until it's legal to get involved with you. Till then, don't call him!

Well, the age difference isn't really a big deal, but since you are still in high school it kind of is a big deal at this point. This guy is older than you and a lot more experienced. He may think you are beautiful - but he may want to take advantage of you or he might want a real relationship - it could go either way.
It's really up to you if you want to date him. Are you comfortable dating someone who is so much older than you, while you are still in high school? Are your parents okay with it? If it was me, I'd probably leave him alone and go for a guy more my own age.

think of this and this is the truth you can look it up. ROLLING STONES BASS PLAYER Bill Wyman met a 13 year old girl and when she turned 18 he married her.
Jerry Seinfeld when in his 30's dated a 17 year old girl
Elvis was of legal age when he met priscilla and dated her, she was only 15
ENOUGH SAID.

YES!!! He is waaaay too old. Maybe when you're 25 and he's 33 it's more ok. But right now it's just wrong (and illegal). It's like a 16 year old dating an 8 year old. ewww!!

That's a little old for you, sweetie. You didn't say if you liked him or not, just that he told you you were beautiful. That concerns me. If you are going to call him just because he said you were beautiful, and don't have any romantic feelings toward him, then you are cheating both him and you.

Why aren't u seeing him anymore?
too young, u mean too old. Hell yes. Or heck in ur case. It's illegal! I know 25 y/o guys, they are not as mature as u think, stay AWAY. I know guys in hs are immature and pervs, but all guys are kinda that way but u need to stay away. I'm an adult, so trust me.

don't contact him, guys that age will want sex, in which you would be a very big temptation , and he will go to jail for it when caught. it was a fun thing for you , but in the long run , it will only bring misery. if you are so smitten with him, tell him if he is still available when you are emancipated, you would like to go out with him. and leave it at that. girls your age are so eager to feel love that you can be blinded very easily.
