It is possible but if you become good enough friends with someone then at some point the question will probably enter ones mind if this is so good as a friendship wouldn't it be better if there was more.

well i am not a man, but i truly don't think it is possible. i mean, if you are friends, there must have been some sort of attraction in the first place (a platonic physical atraction, or an attraction to the personality). so if there is attraction involved between a guy and a girl, it must usually be or turn into romantic or sexual attraction, so i think its possible only if the guy is gay. the end.

alright, i guess I can, but what's your deffinition for platonic friends? If it's what Im thinking I guess I have plenty of platonic friends (trough the internet) that I haven't met and probably never will.

there will always be some hidden attraction that will alterate the platonic relationship u'r talking about; there will never be such relationship between a man and a girl, especially if she's pretty.

Men and women cannot be friends, because someone on at least one end of the relationship is going to want to sleep with the other, and so there really is no intent to be friends, it doesn't even matter if you're with someone, it doesn't work out because you still want to sleep with them, so men and women can't be friends

Yes what so hard about that. Its good to have friends . (girl) you can relax and be your nasty self. and so can she. nasty I don't mean sexual but you don't have to behave like you do with your wife or your girlfriend. She is one of the guys and you are one the girls. Just friends Plain and Simple it's no boy or girl its just people.

Yes you can and at different levels even. You can just be the hang out friends or the duo-type where folks "assume" your together when doing rec. activities or roommates.

i have a few gorgeous friends, and i mean gorgeous! We're only firends, we do go out, but only as friends. so yeah i can be friends with a pretty girl.

Yes, but only if she isn't my type. Otherwise if I'm spending time with her, I would mostly be inventing some new schemes to try to get to boink her.
