.. do I find myself running to the loo? I'm being serious.. it only happens with alcohol... not tea, coffee, soft drinks.. just booze. Weird!! It doesn't affect anyone else I know in this way unless they drink a few glasses of wines or beer..

It is very usual to urinate more often while drinking alcohol. Alcohol is a diuretic which just so happens to also work as a drug to make people urinate when they are having edema problems. FYI edema is the accumulation of excess fluids in the body.

For some reason, alcohol causes all the moisture in your system to go directly to the bladder. If you were drinking water, especially on a hot day, it would be used by your system and distributed throughout your body. It isn't the same with any alcohol. I found that out this weekend with beer. I had to run to the restroom after every beer. I could have two or three bottles of water and not have to do that. (If it's hot and I'm outside. Not the same if I'm cool and inside though)
