Why don't you believe in Brahma, Tien Ti, Odin, Zeus, Amon, Marduk, Ahuramazda, etc., etc.? There is no proof that any deities exist. Maybe Hindus are sad because you don't believe that Brahma created the universe. Get over it, because no one cares if you make yourself sad with such nonsense. Have you ever questioned your god? I did from an early age. There are many contradictions and scientific inaccuracies in the Bible,e.g. it says pi is 3, but it is 3.14159, so I cannot use the Bible in engineering. Noah's Ark couldn't hold examples of the 3,000,000 or more animal species that live now and in Noah's supposed time. It'd take a century to load them if one did havea boat big enough for them. There is no geological evidence of a world flood, and there could never be one. I could continue a long time with this. There is much proof that the Bible is nonsense, and if it is the Word of God, he is an ignoramus.

I'm sure the people in the remote places of China that only know of Buddhism don't understand how Christians can believe in a God that loves everyone but sends non-believers to hell to burn for all eternity. Truth is not absolute. Truth is relative. Truth is what you believe. (took me a long time to fully understand that). I assume that you were raised to believe in the Christian God. Well there are plenty of others in the world that were raised to believe something different, and that is their Truth.
Another reason why some don't believe in God is because they oppose the constraints of organized religion and the affect it has on closing the mind and quelling critical thought and questioning. That and almost every argument for God requires a belief in God to begin with. For example, how would you argue that God "gave everyone life", "created the world" and "loves everyone" without using any religious texts?

There is no simple answer to your question because it is a question of world view.
Athiests believe that the universe is run by laws that can be discovered and quantified. They believe there is a clear scientific reason for everything that happens...it is just a question of explaining the (quantifiable) movements of atoms and molecules under well understood forces. By extension they believe they possess the free will to do what they please within the constraints of these scientific laws. Athiesm is a clear, understandable and internally consistent world view that has many advantages.
One problem comes with the introduction of an all powerful, all knowing spirit (God) who influences lives consistent with some (unknown and unknowable) plan. This fundamentally clashes with the athiest's desire for freedom of action and of will. Another problem comes from the introduction of fundamental laws of behavior- such as respecting the sanctity of life, the concept of avoiding sins, the afterlife, etc. which is so fundamental to the Christian faith, but which an athiest would say they have a right to choose whether to follow these or not. The Christian is not given a choice.
In my view it boils down to this: the athiest believes he/she can run his own life the way he wants, while the Christian revels in the knowledge that his/her life is proceeding according to God's plan. Since the athiest does not believe in life after death he sees no upside to following God's wishes, or anyone else's.
Finally, it is difficult for a Christian to reason with an athiest, because an athiest cannot change viewpoint without an immense revision the entire way he looks at the world and acts in everyday life- in short, an entire change in personality would be required. That is why in my view we are getting such unbelievably hysterical actions on the part of the athiest radical left- they are losing the battle for people's hearts and minds and they cannot change- they are between a rock and a hard place. Pray for them.
Enough.

Thats because the Earth holds a wide variety of beliefs, religons, and cultures. In Fact Most of the world doesnt belive in one god, there are only three major religons that have one (or Monotheistic) god, which are Christianity, Judaism, And Islam. Now there are others Like Hinduism and certain native religons that believe in many gods (Polytheism). Ignostics are people who dont belive any certain way. But Coming back to your question, many people dont believe in god because of personal choice, difference in upbringing, or have a polythiesistic religon. Just remember that we are all humans, and just because one person doesnt belive in exactly what you do, doesnt mean they are a bad person.

Ever watch Antiques Roadshow? I mean, they have some amazing stuff on there. Of course, the person who created it matters. Often times, though, there is no signature and they can only guess. Certain painters had certain methods, this pattern was used on carpets by X company in the 1920's, etc. Your god didn't sign the painting and it has no defining features.

Some people don't believe in God because they believe in other things. Some people don't believe in God because they were never taught about God. Truly the "reasons" or "possibilities" as to why are endless.
I certainly can understand how you feel because everyone lives in a world that God created, and not to mention He created them as well.
All we can do is pray for them to come to know and receive Jesus -and continue to tell people about Him.
Blessings To You & Yours

If people went to churchs and saw God pass through people, and saw the love, maybe they'd believe. Its not like there isnt any evidence. Some just need a push to get saved. That why God has us, to help each other. Somewheres theres a verse that says something about a rock shaping another. We need to shape each other into what is right. Even if they dont realize it.

Have you ever tried to put yourself in an atheist's shoes? Have you ever asked the questions we asked that led us here? If not, of course you'd never understand. A lot of theists refuse to ask these questions, considering them heresy. Personally, I'm of the belief that you can never know how strongly you believe in something until you question it genuinely. If you question your faith, you may end up staying religious and possibly even stronger for it, but at least you can get where we're coming from.
Question yourself first. You can ask us later.

The More You Know, The Less You Believe.
Knowledge is power and if power god then god is knowledge.
Ergo, Knowledge is substatued for god.
That and depending on what church you belong to, Catholics, Mormons, and so on. All say that if you don't believe in our version of "the Truth" then your going to hell. To quote the bible, "what ever you hold true on earth, I'll hold true in heaven."
Ergo we are all going to hell. Even you my dear.

Same reason that people don't believe in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy. They have progressed to the point where supernatural explanations are not necessary.
