If you are referring to "The Passion of Christ". Mel Gibson didn't kill Jesus. He created a movie about Jesus. The person playing Jesus in the movie is not Jesus, he's simply an actor.

Mel wrote, directed, and produced that movie because he wanted to show what Christ went through during those last few hours before and during his crucificion.
