Well back in the days, an old maid being older than prime marrying age, would still be a virgin. If you are not a virgin, then I don't think there should be any concern about the subject. Just means that you have certain standards in men that have not been met yet.
Good luck, and just remember, don't be happy for just the moment, be happy for a lifetime.

Dude, this is 2006. Who uses the term "old maid". Besides, a 38 year old woman that never been married is called an "independant woman."

No you're not an old maid. That's a stupid term from a long time ago. By the way, why isn't there a stupid term from a long time ago for a man that never married??

I have to be honest with you here and not try to spare your feelings but I believe that there is a very slim chance you will find true love at that age, it could happen , there could be that one guy out there that has zero experience in the matter of love that hasn't been burned more than half dozen times that still believes in that notion of love, but most guys at that age have already formed an intense conclusion as to where to invest their feelings and finding a guy at that age will be about as tough as winning the lottery, some people do win the lottery so it is still possible, but you better get to placing some ads , time is surely running out.

I don't even believe in the word "old maid". I am 36 years old, never been married, and don't have any children. So what? I'm still slim, no baby gut, and hot!!!!

Use to be seventeen.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Couples are older now than what they used to be , just a few years ago, when getting married. You're fine.

I had a cousin marry a few years back for the first time & he was sixty.

yes, would have, but now there's a lot more. I believe yes. A career is one, and it's best to wait until ur 28, but that was 10 years ago. Unless u have a long term serious relationship and get married soon.
