Congratulations, First off pay all your bills. It would be wise to invest some of it in Real Estate with some rentals that way you'll always have $$$ coming in with out you exchanging time for dollar. Max out a Roth Ira if you haven't already. Pay off your house, set up a fund for your kids. Stuff like that, don't blow it away at the casino or buy things that waste you money fast. Last but not least set aside some money to play the lottery for the next year. Maybe you'll win again. Cool

First off... congrats. You are so lucky. I have an idea for you.....Maybe you can sponser a needy family with children. During christmas you can donate them gifts, provide them with a thanksgiving meal, make easter baskets for easter and buy some school supplies for them. This way, the adults dont have to worry too much on how to save money to buy their children gifts or such. They would be better able to pay the bills. You will feel really good if you do this. The family would feel so relieved! I wish I had the money to do that. You do, so maybe you can do that.

Also, if you dont like the whole present idea. You can buy a family a much needed car. Or help pay some of their bills. Help a student go through college by giving out scholarships. There is tons of things you can do to make the world a better place.

Dont forget to spend some of it on you. You deserve it!

This is your chance to buy a brand new house of your dream and furnish it with all the furnitures you otherwise can't afford to buy, unless of course you are a rich person and already have everything you want in life. In the latter case, you can donate your lottery winning to charity.

first, don't tell anyone except your accountant. take about 6 months to think about what you want to do and continue to live your life as normal as possible for six months. then, after you've thought about what you truly want, write out a plan. don't blow it on buying all the latest. your plan should at least include some type of investment. you've been given a chance to do something good with your money that will either benefit yourself or your family. incorporate some type of investment.

Hire a conservative financial planner in your area to manage your money for you. Don't rely on a bunch of dopes on the internet.
