i am a christian who just happens 2 watch anime. i dont think animes EVIL, but to christians, do you think its appropiate for a christian to watch Inuyasha?

I'm an ordained minister,lol, and I have no problem with Inuyasha, some of it is based on asian legends. It's no worse than reading a fairy tale or playing a video game.
I'm more concerned about websites like thiso_0:

I don't believe Inuyasha to be a bad show, certainly know worse than anything on primetime. Most probably even better. I personally would not concern myself with this issue. It would only create unecessary misery. If you enjoy it, watch it. Live your life as best as you can and you will be the better for it.

Inuyasha means 'dog demon' in Japanese. Just so you realize this is a cartoon by and about believers in animism (the belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural objects and phenomena), which is incompatible with your beliefs, there is no problem.

Inu-Yasha incorporates a lot of Shinto and Buddhist elements into itself, as does a lot of anime, similar to how Western fiction incorporates Christian and Jewish beliefs. If you are strong in your faith you don't have to worry about it converting you, it's just for entertainment . . . and if you are already a doubter a cartoon show isn't the root of your problems.

thats a good question. for the Christian extreme-ist yes it would be evil and ur condemned to hell for watching it. however I dont believe that its wrong to watch a cartoon. If God sends you to hell for watching tv then hes not quite merciful or loving or forgiving as the Bible says.

it's kinda bad if you let your religion govern your entertaiunment and what you watch on TV an read....
It's just a CARTOON.... albeit a violent one... it is still a cartoon nonetheless...
Please... do some thinking on your own. You shouldn't need your religions permission to live a HUMAN life.

It's glorifying the life of a man who is part demon. That should not be tolerated. You should repent for your sins and stop watching it at once.

inuyasha is OK compared to some other shows they play like the boondocks that show is so messed up
