I live in Ohio. My girl will be 18 in about a month. Her parents hate me and will not let me talk to her. They are making her life a living hell and I'm very worried about her.Is there anything I can do to get her out of there sooner than her birthday? If I did go get her now what kind of trouble could I get in? Would the court date even come before her birthday?

Well usually you cannot take a minor across state lines. That would be considered kidnapping which is a pretty serious offense. Even if you went to get her now it would not matter when the court hearing was she would still have been considered a minor when the incident took place. Your girlfriend might need to pursue this on her own for right now, possibly call social services or maybe she can pursuade her parents to let her go stay with a relative that she trusts. Unfortuneatly, unless you want to get in some serious trouble right at the moment all you can do is be there and be as supportive as you can. Best of luck!!!

Dude, you could get in a shitload of trouble, if you happen to get her out of the house before she's 18 and you get caught, one they could go for kidnapping but it's doubtful, they'll get you with statuatory rape regardless of the fact if you have sex or not, and its not up to the girl the parents can press those charges, minimum sentence is 3 yrs i think, you might want to look that one up,

and the whole "would the court date come before her birthday" thing, you must not understand, it doesn't matter how old she is when the case is being held up in court, what matters is how old she was when it happened, so you're still screwed

but, different states have different laws and whatnot, i don't know what they are in Ohio, but the age of consent is 17 in Illinois, look into that first before you plan anything, that and how old are you and why do the parents hate you so much?

anyway,...good luck

Since she is not 18 yet, you can go to jail for abducting a minor if the parents hate you that much. I would just be there for her as much as you can, make some plans for the big move and then once she is 18 get her out of that house. But you should make sure that is what both of you want. Just love her and support her the best that you can and everything will work out. Good luck, I wish the best for both of you.

Ride it out, it's ONE month, i know it sucks, but you can do it. I don't know what the laws are and would hate to see you get charged with kidnapping since she is a minor. Regardless of if the court date is after her birthday, it matters WHEN you did it. Go pick her up on her birthday =o) that would be a nice little surprise for her.

You sound impatient and immature.
Are you very much older than she is?
Do you actually know or have you spent any time with her parents?
Do you understand that their goal is to protect their daughter not make your life miserable?
Why would you want to "go get her now?"
Is she in physical danger?
Is she being abused?
I think it should be her decision to come live with you when she reaches her 18th birthday not yours.
Don't come between her and her parents -- you will regret it forever and so will she.

its nice that you want to help her, but the best thing to do is just let her wait that one more month till she is 18 or you can be charged with kidnapping and since she is not an adult you can get in trouble for that too. it is not worth it, if it is that close to her birthday being her 18 th birthday then just wait, it will be worth it that way you can not get into any trouble.

the best thing to do is wait. i know that's not what you want to hear, but it's safer that way. help her make excuses to get out of the house, so she can come see you! it's only one more month, hang in there! if you 2 run away, you'll most likely get caught, and sent to juvenille, and she'll go to juvenille, and things could only get worse! trust me, i've known a lot of ppl that have tried it! just be there for her and encourage her, and help her hang in there until the month is over, and your home free! good luck! and props for being such a great bf! i wish i had such a wonderful guy in my life!! :)

First of all would it be to her best interest to take her away from her parents who she loves and put her in the middle of who she should choose, you or her parents. That wouldn't do much good for your relationship. Maybe you should try talking to her parents and telling them how you feel about their daughter. You maybe suprised, you might be able to strike a compromice with them. I am a parent and even though I am mad or upset I really do try to listen. Maybe they will too.

since shooting her parent would get you into more trouble . set them up, plant drugs and stolen property along with nude pic of yuour girl in dads stuff. call the police and demand they save her from her evil parents who hate you because you know their secrete.
If your too old for her then look at the advice and turn it around I would just kill you for ruining my daughters life, unless you are successful and have a house, car and good job you not worthy anyway.
