Islam: An intolerant, inconsistent fallacy

This is not from a christian or jewish perspective; I thought I would get that out of the way to begin with.

Is Islam a religion where you have to check "free-thinking" at the door and embrace a tyranical, murderous, intolerant worldview?

IMO: YES!

1. How can the Koran be the infallable word of God when it contains nonsense like the earth is flat and the sun moves around the earth.

2. How can it be said that Mohammed was a loving and compassionate man yet he killed, robbed and sadisticly tortured people. ie: a man was murdered for making fun of Mohammed in poetry.
Also, Mohammed tortured and punished some by chopping of their arms and legs, burning out their eyeballs and killing them slowly in the harsh elements of the desert.

3. Why do Muslim claim that Mohammed was a liberator of women when it is taught that women are:
a) inferior to men
b) must obey their husbands - or be dealt with harshly
c) Mohammed said that hell was filled with women due to disobeying their husbands
d) Husbands can beat them because Allah promotes this in the koran.
e) Have no essential rights like child-custody and the right to divorce.
f) Court testomony is worth only half of the testomony of a man.
g) She has no autonomy, first her father controls her then her husband.
h) Allah wants them to stay at home and not to came out.
i) They are forbidden to join ceremonies such as funerals.
j) The Koran speaks only towards man as if woman arent full human beings.

4. How can Muslims say that Mohammed was a perfect human-being or even a good man and his example should be followed when it is known that he did a 9-year old girl when he was 53?
Don't many muslims follow this example because the best muslims should follow the Sunna?


5.How can it be said that Islam is a religion of peace and love when the koran teaches that non-believers are forbidden to be friends of muslims and in fact the koran promotes killing them and otherwise abusing them?

Well there are 2 Islams... the peaceful Libral Islam that ignores most of violence in the Quran...

We should not unfairly steriotype them... but we should show them the love taught in the Bible...

"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persicute you."-Matthew 5:44, the Bible

And if we love our enemies how much more should we love our niegbors and friends...

But then there are the Radical Fundemental Extremist that follow the violence taught in the Quran...

The majority of Muslims are Radical... the peaceful ones are the minority....

True Islam is not of peace.... Islam means, "to submit"

"Fight and slay the pagans( Christians, Jews, and non-Muslims) wherever you find them, and sieze them, beleagur them, and lie in wait for them in every strategem of war."- Surah 9:5 the Quran....

Iran's President, Mamoud Ahmadinejad said, "Israel should be wiped off of the map of the world"

But here is another form of intolerance....

"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucufixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the hereafter."- Surah 5:33, the Quran...

" O you who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them( for friendship ) is of them."- Surah 5:51, the Quran

The Libral Muslims do not follow this but the rest of Islam does...

Cutting off someones feet and hands for not accepting your belief is unthinkable- but the Quran commands it.

In the Christian religion it is all about free will and choice... to choose Jesus or not...

But in Radical Islam, it is by force, death or acceptance of Islam...

The God of Christians is love and we are His children...

but Allah, Islam's God is not love nor a father, He Himself wrote the Quran...

I can never accept Islam or Libral Islam because I know what is in the Quran...

I chose Jesus and I became a Christian that I may be saved from the sin and crimes that I have commited against God... If I did not choose God I would have chosen forever without God=Hell

I follow the Bible... it tells me to love my niegbors and love my eneimes... to fight evil with good, and to be Moral and love God and to love others...

I cannot ignore the crussades or other otrocities made by the church... but I don't accociate with false Christians... they did not follow the Bible, they followed a religious hypocrite that only loved money and power.... they hid under the name of Christianity...

but still all of this pales in comparison to radical Islam's deeds, and the death toll resulting from them....

So many Muslims are decieved by Radicals, they think that by killing unbelievers that they and their family and friends may be promised salvation... and upon reaching heaven they may enjoy sexual immorality and sin forever...

Does this not sound like a man made teaching and not of a Holy Moral God?

You cannot simply pave your way to heaven by doing good or evil... your sins are still there with you... only Jesus can wash them away...

God provided His mercy to all that might accept Him and His Son and He promised them salvation...

all that you have to do is choose to accept Him or reject Him...

Religion is not the Answer... Jesus is...

will you choose Him and see what life is all about?

Wow, thats a lot of information--can you site a source please? I'm interested in looking some of it up. I read the Koran many years ago, but I understand a LOT is lost in translation. I'm not Muslim or really follow any other organized religion for that matter, but I do NOT believe that Islam was founded upon the idea of hatred, abuse, or maltreatment of their fellow human being. Anything when placed under the ever changing "moral microscope" can appear to be malicious. Religion has been bastardized by power thirsty, greedy individuals and not the sole reflection of the goodness it could possibly bring.
I know you are "asking" questions above, and that is the first and foremost step in eliminating religious intolerance, hatred, and ignorance in the world, but please, make sure it doesn't sound like propaganda.

You have no proof for your statements,except for3-b ,and 3-d because marriage is an organization of man ,wife and children,if any organization has two bosses,it will fail,there must be one boss.God allow beating after making advice and be away of woman in bed,then if this does not work comes beating.Women are not forbidden to join ceremonies,but they have their special ones.Koran promote killing non-believers if they begin fighting,i.e.for defending Muslims .

this is not a question this is just ur way of expressing ur views.... but if this is true then he should not be followed, what i do know is that it suppose to be ok to have several wives. that is against gods laws. it was ok in the days of b.c, so the earth can reproduce but it is not of god now. a husband has no right to treat his woman as property this is another way of modrn slavey, i read that he also spent time in prison for the crimes he commited, that he also started the religion in prison where there is nothing but sin. i would never follwow a man who claims to be what he is when he could not save himself from prison ect, he also changed the original name of his religion to what it is today.
