I am so tired of teens asking about abortion. For Heavens sakes don't these girls know about condoms or saving yourselves for marriage? I think teen girls who get pregnant out of stupididy should have to carry the child and at least give up for adoption for those who can not have there own child. I know there is circumstances like health reasons or rape. Those are understandable to a point. But not for these teens who are like oh i will just go and have sex because i don't have to take responsibility for my actions? Any one else getting sick of these questions?

I'd rather have them ask questions than to not know what their choices are. It's worrisome that they don't have anywhere else to go for the information - or that they feel that they need the attention their questions engender.

Whatever my personal feelings are about abortion, until and unless I am actively fostering and adopting children, I don't feel that I have any business questioning someone else's choice. I'm not in her shoes and I can't offer her another choice.

I couldn't agree more!!! I try not to read those questions because I get so mad!!! I can't conceive children (health reasons), and I'm way past the self-pity stage, but I still get so mad when so many irresponsible people, even teenagers are able to get pregnant so easily and irresponsibly and then go ahead and think the solution is to run to a clinic to have an abortion!!!

The problem is: if they are getting pregnant they are also risking getting STDs and spreading them... wow! where's sex ed? where are their parents? I really don't know... when I was a teenager I had sex too, at a young age also, but I was always very careful always to use a condom and be very aware of the consequences of my decisions... I really don't understand what's going on...
Anyway, sorry for rambling, but there are my two cents... It's such a pity that we don't seem to be on the track of evolution, we seem to be going backwards! Even after so many technological advances, and living in the "information age".. wow!

I get sick of people considering abortion in itself, regardless of age. But yes, little girls shouldn't be having sex, period...and boys too, for that matter. If you can't take the responsibility of becoming a parent, don't be having sex! Sex is made to create a baby...although we all use it for other reasons. But that of course, is for marriage. Again, what ever happened to waiting for marriage to have sex? And having multiple partners too? In this time and age, with diseases and everything...and little kids having sex that have no clue what to expect after the fact. And they immediately jump to abortion. What about that STD you just picked up that will make you sterile? When you do want a baby, you won't be able to any more.
Okay, so I went off a bit much, but seriously. Yeah, I'm sick of it.

One thing that I think you might want to consider is that the world is heavily populated and there are sooooo soooo many children already that are starving to death. I think that the choice for abortion is a great thing. The Choice is great, not the abortion. I am guessing that you are against gay men adopting also. I think that this would totally help the issue of homeless and starving children. I personally don't know if I would want to bring a child into the world with the way that it is right now. I would rather save the ones that are already here. Don't you think?

I agree that there is a problem . . but what most people don't realize is that these teens aren't all irresponsible . . some of them just don't know what can happen if they have unprotected sex. And in my personal opinion, it is not all their fault. I blame the parents, too. Most parents have the attitude that if they don't talk about it with their kids, their kids won't do it.

Yes, we all know that these kids are having sex, but instead of turning our backs on them and hoping they will figure it out on their own . . . we need to educate them and inform them of the consequences.

Most teens have the "not me" mentality . . "that can't happen to me" . . and it's because they haven't been informed . . . it can happen to ANYONE who has unprotected sex . . .

Obviously they don't know about condoms or saving themselves for marriage because they haven't been taught . . . really, think about the households and neighborhoods these kids come from . . I know of teens who are being taught by their mothers to have babies so that they can get aid from the state . . . sad but true . . . so before you jump all over these teens who obviously don't know any better . . jump on the parents who are (in their own way) encouraging what's being done . . .

i am glad That you have the ability to be a parent but you need to think a little. if the girl is stupid enough to get pregnant what makes you think That after 9 months of carrying Thatt child and feeling all of the wonderful things that go along with tha, well what makes you think that the girl will be able to give the child up? Really, by then they have romanticized the ideal of having a child. they do not know the reality of being a parent. Then you have a 17 year old girl with a child who will end up on welfare and YOU will not help. in this situation, sometimes, abortion IS a good idea. Get over your sanctimonious self and help them or ignore them, don't condemn them!!!!

Yes I am. I am guilty of this also (done twice) when I was a teenager. The last one, I made a promise to the Most High that If I was to get pregnant 10 times I would just have 10 kids to take care of. I'm 37 years old now. It was 14 years ago that I had my son and he is truly a blessing to me. They should have to deal with the consequences of have sex at a young age.

I'm sick of the pro lifers. Most don't have a clue about the damage they are doing. I am sick of the people with the "adoption is the answer" line of bs. There are millions and millions of babies that need to be adopted and no one is doing it. I like the people that offer advice that includes all options and I like people that actually do adopt, especially if it is a child from a mother that did not have the abortion option.

Yes. These young girls are just being fast and hot in the pants. They need to get a darn clue. Sex is not a game...have sex, get pregnant deal with the fact a baby can come about, STDs or even AIDS. These young girls do not have any respect for themselves or the little boys they sleep with.

I understand what you all are saying, and I agree to an extent. But if we get upset with teens asking questions about life altering situations like being pregnant, then we're causing more damage by not being there for them.

If teens feel like nobody wants to here their problems, the're going to do something more drastic an account of not having the right information.

We should instead concentrate on giving better answers to their cries.
