Yes, I am a Jehovah's Witness and I am proud to be one. I love everyone in my congregation because they are all so nice and loving =) Are there any other ones?

Hi. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I am always skeptical of those who claim to be Witnesses over this very impersonal venue.
As to the comments made by others responding. If your answer was just a rude comment you are being reported.
As for the questions first and foremost let me once again say, We Are Christian. If you really want answers about our beliefs, then please talk to a Witness face to face. We are always open to sharing our beliefs. Many of those hear who claim to be Witnesses or former Witnesses or Ex Witnesses, were never Witnesses. They prove this by the comments they make. Please, once again, Go to a Kingdom Hall and find a Witness or just ask us the next time someone knocks on your door.

I'm a little curious...if you are Jehovah's Witness why are you chatting in these types of internet sites; i thought your elders told you this is a bad idea???

I used to be a jehovah's witness..my mother always took me to the congregations for years and I was sunk under the water at age 15 became a pionner for 4 years but left because after awhile lost interest and my belief in it

if you wanna talk (though I don't think you want to) let me know

I am not a Jehovah's Witness for several reasons

- I do not trust an anonymously translated Bible claiming to be better than any other translation

- the best evidence is that the word Jehovah is a mistraslation
vowels of YHWH +consonants of adonai lord with a germanic anglacized twist is Jehovah, not a real word even

- Michael is mentioned together twice in the New Testament in the same page as Jesus and no connection drawn between the two (Jude and Revelation)

I just dont think it rings true

I try to be... really I do, cause I know it's the Truth... however at the end of the day, I realize that I am still a sinner and therefor I cannot call myself a true Jehovah Witness

Hear, hear sister.good for you.......one person who answered your
question thought it not right for Witnesses to use this forum.do you see
how many people know of us and are concerned for our spirituality. we do
have free will and make our own choices.I personally think its a good forum
for honest hearted persons to seek some answers.and maybe recieve some
from all persons..(even Jehovah's witnesses) I feel like ive given a nice
witness on a couple occasions.my conscious is clear.

Hi.... I am not ashamed to say that I have gone to the Kingdom hall and have studied allot with the most dearest of friends here in the town I live. I admire there courage in the face of all the persecution from going door to door....All in all. I am happy to know them...
Just to add a little more to my comment here. I would have taken my life years ago if it were not for a wonderful lady that came to my door and showed me the truth. It truley did set my mind straight. I want to live now ..

I am not a J Dub, but have friends that are. I wish you all the best in your quest, but hope you understand we are all God's children!! Connect with everyone you can and share your love for God(Jehovah), not just a practicing faith. Let your light shine unto the world and they will seek you.

Good Luck and God Bless

How long have you been a Jehovah's Witness?

2006-08-14 11:00:35 · answer #10 · answered by Author Al 4 · 0 2

Can I ask you a question then?

If you believe that we should only worship one God, Jehovah ...
and that Jesus is just a god (small g)
Then wouldn't he be a false god?
Why would your Bible say that we should 'do obeisance' to a false god?

I have never gotten a satisfactory answer from any witnesses that have come to my door ... only the same old verses that don't really answer the question.

Thanks!
(and I'm not trying to be contentious, I just genuinely want to understand)
