how many puppys can a small dog have? just want to know.

Depends on the breed. Very small dogs like Chihuahuas could expect to have maybe 3 or 4, Maltese can have up to 5 or 6, all depends on what breed you have and what breed you mated to.

IT does depend on the breed and the dog. I have had one dog that had puppies, she was half pit bull and half lab. SHe had 9 puppies all healthy and went to good homes and then she was fixed right away!
