good idea ,no .would i support it ,yes as it would show solidarity and commitment on our part .the path we are on now is going nowhere and it seems the most sucsessful route we can follow is a final solution of sorts.I know what you are thinking and i feel bad but how much can we be expected to take and how much freedom can we lose before we are a total police state.if the muslims would police themselves and act right this would not even be talked about but by poking a hornets nest you are asking for trouble-

no they shouldn't but there should be a correction those shouldn't be labeled as just Japenese Camps. My Korean brothers were in those camps and they got into many fights with the Japanese and also Italians and other groups were in there. I guess the government could put the Muslims in those camps but I think that would be horrible and a crime against humanity. I am still mad at FDR for doing that. Martial law was never declared. Remember not all muslims are terrorist its just the small minority. Too bad the majority will not step up.

This exact question was asked weeks ago. I dont think the question is racist unless you personaly think it should happen. Its fine to pose this question if you are merely looking to see who has these racist beliefs. No, the Muslim people within the united states should not be put into camps. Should all the christians be put into camps because of those who comit terrorist attacks on abortion clinics? What was done to the Japanese people in america during ww2 was shameful, and its dark cloud returns each time an ****** spurts out a ridiculous comment, somehow using it as historical precedent to do it again.

No, I don't believe that is the course anyone should take. There are millions of muslims who are not a part of any terror plots, and to segregate millions of people in hopes of sifting out a few hundred, or even a few thousand people is just not going to be effective, as well as being completely inflammatory and throwing gasoline on a fire which is already raging.
Also, being muslim isn't a racial issue, it is a religion and there's even a California born white kid who is now a part of Al Queda who fell into extreme Islam somehow. Similarly, a lot of these extremists came from good families and were brainwashed because they needed guidance or whatever was their problem. Their families largely don't support their actions (Bin Laden's own niece is a model in the United States or something, and she has NOTHING to do with what he does... why should we place her in a camp?).
Anyway.. we're not at war with a race of people or with a country, we're at war with a few crazies who have embraced this really radical ideology which threatens our very existence. Many different types of people (white Americans, Russians, Arabs, Canadians, Africans and whoever) have embraced these radical views for whatever reasons, and have joined these international terror organizations. It would be ridiculous of us to round up all of the American muslims and place them in camps since they mostly have nothing to do with these extremist factions.
It would be nice if they'd speak out against those factions a little more though, I think they'd do themselves a great service in polishing their image which extremists have largely tarnished.

No, i'm a brilliant supporter of FDR however the internment of eastern human beings became right into a brilliant mistake. to repeat this errors with the aid of putting Muslims in internment camps would be a mistake.

Put all the Japanese in camps was an error since those
living in USA did not revolted against us , they didn ' t
hate Christians.
Put the Muslims in camps would be a safe way to protect
us from terrorism. To have them in our Country it is
like to have the enemies in our home. They hate us
and gladly would blow up a Market or a school at the first
opportunity.

The Japanese internment didn't make us any safer and destroyed much good will among Americans toward their government. Keep in mind the camps were not for Japanese people... they were for Japanese-Americans as well, including many people who were born here and had never set foot in Japan.
It was a disgraceful period in American history.

First, I am happy to see that someone actually had the courage to ask this question.
The short answer is that it would not be a good idea, but it is liable to happen in the near future (5 to 10 years out).
It has to do with the adoption of secondary deviance. If a person is accused of being a deviant long enough, and is punished for being a deviant often enough, then the deviance become an adopted pattern. We get accused often enough of being disrespectful to Islam, eventually we will be. It is human behavior. It is frightening actually.

NO we shouldn't, but I do wonder how is it that our gov. was able to track/find all of the Japanese that were living here at the time and detain them. And yet our gov. can't do the same with illegal aliens?? Keep in mind when the gov. rounded up the Japanese they didn't have nearly any of the technologies we have today.
Just another example of our gov. looking the other way, hoping the problems will go away.

I think we would be jumping the gun a little bit. If there was just cause and evidence that conclusively pointed to all Muslims in the US trying to harm other Americans, than that would certainly be a option. But there hasn't been, so I guess we can just let folks be for now.
