My family recently got a puppy. He is part husky and german shepard, he has one light blue eye and the other is part lt. blue and brown. My question is does any one know how to say the color blue in a different language? We don't just want to call him blue, we want his name to be unique. Or any other color name of his fur. He is an auburn and tan color.
Thanks to any one who helps us name our dog.

How about OOBAAN.....it's Japanese for auburn. It's pronounced with a long "O" as in Orange & a short "A" as in father or you could just call him ooban which I like & it's different.

We have an Alaskan Malamute called Ozzii & a blue merle Bordercollie called Tango.

Go to the library and look for books on naming your pet. Yes they exist! You can often find a really unique name or find a name of a famous pet fromt he past.

You can also surf the net and find good pet name sites.

Try using this translation website. http://babelfish.altavista.com/. The other two languages I know how to say Blue in aren't very different. (Blau and Bleu.)
