It sure does seem like it. People have been forging documents like the gospel of Barnabas and claiming the Kooran has all kinds of modern science in it all for the sake of spreading their religion. When people use lies and sneaky tactics and warfare to spread their beliefs, doesnt that qualify them like a false prophet?

Can a false prophet warn about a false prophet? I don't know, but it would appear so. Look, for all their yelling about how the "Koran is PERFECT!" and that there is "not a single mistake in it!" All you have to do read "Allah is merciful" (The book says it about a million goddamn times) and then look at a child dying of Leukemia. The reality is these two observations are in complete conflict. In Islam there is no "original sin" to excuse the suffering of the child (a poor excuse to be certain) thus all children are innocent. Yet they suffer. Badly. "The child will go to heaven!" The fact that there is no heaven aside, what kind of excuse is this? God will make a child suffer horribly and die only to reward it later? That's like punching a kitten before petting it. Needlessly cruel and disturbing and anything but "merciful". This single glaring error (among many many others) is a dead giveaway of the falseness of Islam.

a good example of a false prophet is these TV preachers who ask for your money and those who make people think if you pay a certain amount to my church ill heal you. those who use the bible to twist Gods word. the ones who claim to be a prophet but jesus says he was the first and the last. as for the prophets of islam we have to look at when they were on the earth if it was durning the time of christ then it is very possible that they were prophets any other prophets would have to have been born or at least have be come prophets befor christ died. ill will look into this further and get back to yall

And the medieval Christian countries didn't forge and change the Bible? They have rewritten it many times. Different Popes in the past have added it and changed it to suit there own personal needs. It says in the Bible that its wrong to kill but Popes in medieval times said it was right to kill Muslims in the name of god... and if you did all your sins would be forgiven. I was born a christian, but i believe more and more that Jesus was a conman and that he just sold the Jews what they wanted to hear. By repeating what previous Prophets did in Jewish history. So was Mohammad a false prophet? Just as much as Jesus was i think.

No he wasn't talking about Mohammed, he was a great prophet. Muslims also believe that Abraham and Jesus were both great prophets even though they were Jews, they just happen to believe that Mohammed was the greatest of the prophets.
In Judaism they also recognize Jesus as a prophet they just don't believe he was the Son Of God, the Messiah. The teachings of three great religions is of benefit to us all but the gulf comes from the insanity of man about their own righteousness and their own blind faith in their own beliefs.

Fear and anger is the driving force of hatred that drives us to blame others for our ills and a refusal to accept responsibility for our own actions and so we pass that responsibility onto a higher authority and act in the name of God or Allah call him what you will. Robert Kennedy once said it wasn't the views of extremists he objected to, it was their intolerance of other people's views.

Whatever religion or beliefs you or anyone else may have that gives you comfort you have my blessing but please allow me and everyone else the same right.

I believe that is exactly what he was talking about.
Also to those crazy people like David Koresh in Waco Texas.
And that other nut who commited suicide with his members while wearing Nike flight shoes, hoping to catch a ride on comet Hale-Bopp.

But Islam is the most pronounced religion to rival Christianity and it leads me to believe, Jesus was talking about Muhammad and Islam. Yes, using lies to spread your religion is indeed being false. Do you think a true divine prophet would have had 13 wives or raided villages? Would a true prophet have killed ever?

I don't believe so and Islam is showing it's true colors with these extremists coming about and causing terror. Sure you could say a few terrorists claimed to be Christian, but who are we kidding here? Extremist Muslims are following what they are taught in the Quran. Violence and murder, and 72 virgins. Sounds pretty false to me.

I think this is a very difficult question.
I guess, in political sense you could be right that people who use their views for raising their own power can be seen as false prophets, but I don't think that you can just attribute it to one religion, I think it goes far beyond that.
On the other hand, how do we know what the real truth is, if we don't try out believing in something?

No, Jesus was talking about others who would pretend to talk in HIS name... Mohammed never said he was talking in Jesus's name. There are several people however who say they speak in Jesus's name but only say a lot of nonsense.. those are the false prophets..

No. If Jesus meant Muhammad, then

1. Why there are so many verses in Qur'an about Jesus?
2. Why does Islam revere Jesus?

Lies and sneaky tactics? There is no lie in Islam. But what you just said is lies and sneaky tactics to confuse people.

I think the false prophets are the ones who affect you personally - like, maybe, paying attention to someone who tries to make you do wrong for selfish reasons by playing on your needs. Most religions worship one God/Allah and they all have recognised prophets. Its a bit like God being London and all roads leading to London - the road from Glasgow is a lot different to the road from Penzance but they all get to the same place eventually!

What do you think is more important to Jesus, living your life as best you can, working for the betterment of mankind, trying to relieve suffering, etc Or being a 'Christian'?
Do you think God would turn away a Buddhist monk who lives his life dedicating it to freeing himself from all anger, greed, and ignorance simply because he 'choose' the wrong religion?
Even if it was so, that is not the Christan teachings.

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.
-Leviticus 19:18
