I have a Canon AE-1 film camera. (Yes people still use those!) The battery is dead and I would like to replace it, but so far I have only found Lithium batteries in the right size. The camera is from pre-lithium days. Would there be any harm to my camera if I used a lithium battery in it?

The battery for your AE-1 not interchangeable with newer lithium batteries.

How hard have you looked for the proper replacement? It shouldn't be that hard to find. It's still in production by all of the major manufacturers.

The Duracell code is PX28. It's a silver oxide battery. Other manufacturers may call it 4SR44, BYPX28S or S28. All are the same battery.

Look for those numbers at larger retailers or good camera shops. I've even see them CVS and Walgreens. Sometimes hardware stores have them, too. It will probably cost $8-$10, which isn't so bad because it lasts a long time.

Don't put the lithium battery in that poor AE-1.

first of each of the FG is a 35mm digicam (takes 35mm movie). The 52mm you spot is the clear out length on the lens. The battery it takes is truly 2 (EPX-76 also SR-40 4). there's a unmarried battery, inspite of the undeniable fact that it each now and then led to subject matters with some Nikon cameras, so i suggestions making use of both. right that's more effective info on it.
