Its hard to say much without knowing more about your sister's behaviour/weight/etc, but that definitely sounds like some unhealthy behaviour.
There are four basic criteria for the diagnosis of anorexia nervosa that are characteristic - maybe this wil help you realize if your sister needs help? They are:
1. The refusal to maintain body weight at or above a minimally normal weight for age and height. Body weight less than 85% of the expected weight is considered minimal.
2. An intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat, even though the person is underweight.
3. Self-perception that is grossly distorted and weight loss that is not acknowledged.
4. In women who have already begun their menstrual cycle, at least three consecutive periods are missed (amenorrhea), or menstrual periods occur only after a hormone is administered. -- Because your sister is 11 and may not have started her period yet, if she lost too much weight she would just not get it until she got better [I have a friend that became anorexic very young and just got her period a few months ago - at 18].
There is more, but if someone does not have those four, you are not anorexic. If they suffer from a few of them, however, they might be suffering from EDNOS - Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified - which can be just, if not more dangerous.
To me, it sounds like your sister's behaviour is very worrying. I would definitely tell your parents that she should go to her doctor as soon as possible. She may not realize that what she's doing is very dangerous.

I had aneroxia and almost died i mean a week at the most i was 10 and weighed 47 lbs. my mom dad did not know what to do so they sent me to a scyc hospital and nothing seemed to help i had to get a feeding tube and went home. Then i went to a place in arizona called Remuda Ranch. They specize on eating disorders. They got me back to normal all the way!!! They give you a horse to ride and take care of and i would of never touched a horse before that, I fell in love with my horse. You need to get help fast!!! there is nothing more impportant than a life The longer you wait the more sick she will get.

This is not anorexia but in a while it could lead to it. If sommebody started making fun of her or she felt fat, she might try to become anorexic or bulimic. All I can tell you is to keep and eye on her. Watch what she does and figure out how she feels. If it goes too far, talk to her and if taht doesn't work, get her some help.

She could be showing early signs of anorexia, or perhaps some kinds of obsessive compulsive behavior, or just sibling modeling.
You need to watch her carefully to make sure that she is not endangering her health. At 11, she needs to have a high calorie, high protein date to support her growth.
Please feel free to write if you would like to chat.

It sounds like she is heading that way and I think she needs to get some help very quickly before things get any more out of hand... she needs some councilling... You should discuss it with your parents and see what can be done.

she must really look up to you because she is mirroring your reaction like you used to when you would play mommy with baby dolls . you should change your behavior around her by setting an example of self confidence. be a good sis and tell her that you are both beautiful and spend some time bonding.take care!

YES! Please talk to your mom because your sister probably won't admit that she is having a problem. She might not even think it is a problem. She needs some professional help. Don't feel like you're ratting her out, she could die from this!

Yes, it's unfortunate that the girls today feel they must be "skinny" like the models in magazines. She apparently is close to you, change it.
