Yes it pays to take the AP classes because when you get to college you will have already seen some of the same material, and yes it looks good on the transcript, BUT If it is making you hate the homework and you feel like you have a heavy load, then get out before you fall behind and make some bad grades. And REMEMBER you still have to pass exams to even get the credit for college, I took AP classes, passed them with B's and took the exam and didnt even get a credit. Just do what you feel will help you.

My advice is, don’t do anything that you feel is causing you too much stress. Especially in college you will have to learn to only take as many classes as you can handle. If you feel as though you can handle the extra work you can be reassured to know that these classes will help you out once you get into college. You will be able to start at a higher level, so you can complete the requirements for your college degree quicker. When I started school I had to take very basic classes in math that did not even count for credit, because I was not at a high enough level. If you are at a high enough level when you enter in to college you can also often test out of classes that you may need for a degree. This means that you know enough, and you don’t need to attend class so you take a test and you can still get credit for the class. Though you still have to pay for the credits.

It depends on your preference. You can take an AP class for free and have extra homework, or you can take the course in college. The college course is easier, but it'll cost you a few hundred dollars depending on the number of credits and how much the school charges per credit hour.

IT IS WORTH IT. I took AP English and History in high school, and when I got to college I was one of the only people that could write an essay in correct format, or knew how to research a topic. I know it's a lot of work now, but it all pays off. Besides that, you get an extra grade point for it, so that makes it sweeter.

I took AP classes in high school and you bet your *** it was worth it! College courses are long and HARDER than any in high school. If you can complete any college credit now, do it and you will never regret it. Plus you have to PAY for any courses you want to take in college, so what you're doing now is a bonus in more ways than one. Yeah the homework sucks but won't it be better to maybe finish college a little earlier??

Don't use AP credit for your premed classes. Many medical schools don't accept AP credits. Take those classes in college (which should be easy A's for you anyway). I'm not sure why you think a biochem major will be "easy until the MCATs". Premed classes are tough, especially organic chemistry. Don't worry about which medical school you should go to. Medical schools in the US are pretty standardized, so there really isn't a "bad" medical school as long as it's accredited.

Advanced placement will either make an entry level course at
a University far far easier, or perhaps make it possible to skip
the entry level course and go to the next one.
It is definitely worth it if you think you can get your way through it.

it is very helpful. in fact, it helped me save time and money on classes i would've needed to take.
what happened was i skipped a lot of general education classes, and was actually able to Double Major because i could've graduated in 3 years with one major, but since i had an extra year left i used that to do another major. :)! very helpful...

Take it if you can. Worse case scenario... you don't do well enough to earn college credits = an easy A your Freshman year.
