He may not have broken it. Is he letting you handle the foot? If he is letting you touch his foot and play with his toes, he should be ok. If this is the case but in an hour he does not walk on it still, take him to the vet.
If he is in a lot of pain when you touch his foot, he needs to go to the vet ASAP.

You should definitely take him to the vet.
Yes, keep the ice on. Don't disturb the paw. If there is any broken bones that are protruding, they can poke a hole in a muscle and make things a lot worse. In this case, the paw will never heel. This is why you should not treat it at home.
It may be not broken, but it is still better to check.

you should call the vet before going. it might be a sprain. definitely keep the dogs weight off the injured paw, if he tries to walk again. tell the vet his symptoms, and what he does when you touch the paw in certain places. do what the vet tells you, and if he wants you to come over right away, then i would carry the dog out, and bring the ice and a pillow for him.
if you need to go to the vet immediately because he is yowling a lot, especially when you touch the paw, go ASAP.

Take Tocky to a vet soon. If the break isn't too severe, and it is aligned soon enough you may be able to get away with a cast. If you wait too long, or if the break is severe your dog will need surgery to fix the break.
Either way, it is painful and your vet will be able to provide Tocky with appropriate pain medication.

My dogs have had thier legs and or paws beat up before and refused to walk on them but they were not broken. So, I would say that it might not be broken but a simple visit to the vet can resolve that possibly without even an Xray and just a docotor visit. If it is broken he needs to be at the vet anyways,

Yes, vet is best. It might not be a simple break. Hopefully it's just a sore paw that will be OK in a few hours or days but don't take the risk.

wait for a little bit, then check his paw. Try to touch it, and feel if it's hot and swollen. He'll probably pull it away.. that doesn't always mean it's broken. He could have possibly shattered the nail when your brother stepped on it, but you should probably call the vet and ask their opinion.

You should get your dog to relax until it gets to the vet. Don't let your dog put any pressure on its paw or it could make things worse.

Take it to the vet because if its really bad it might need surgery to repair it! I'm sure he'll be okay thought as long as you got to a vet. If you try to take care of him at home it might not heal properly and he might not be able to use it normally!
