girls, would you have a problem with firstly being friends with a policeman, and secondly getting romantically involved with a policeman?, If no to either of the questions, can I ask why?

Personally- I don't have a problem being friends with a policeman, or a police lady. In fact 4 live on our block and we are friends with not only them, but also other men and women who are police.

I can't see how it would matter romantically that the person is a policeman. That's just their career. And everyone has a life outside of their career!

Naturally it might mean that they could be called away from a special dinner if something major was happening!

To me I just view it that Policeman are people too, no better or worse than anyone else. - That's just my opinion.

Blessings To You & Yours

For me it started when I was 16. Had no problem with policemen until I saw them flirting with teenage girls at the park when they should be working. Totally turned me off. Then a year later I was on a train with hardly any people on it and this bum started to bother me. At the next stop I saw a policeman on the platform so I called him to help. He got on the train, got rid of the bum then started hitting on me himself. And last but not least 7 yrs ago I get arrested for DUI. I'm a total mess, have been crying for hours, and my arresting officer asks me if I would like to go skiing with him someday. I think that answered both of your questions. Oh forgot one thing. Once I went to a house in the Hampton's that was half police and half fireman. I have never in my life seen such animals. They were totally out of control doing some real f*cked up things. You would think you can expect more from them.

The only reason I could think of why someone might have reservations, would be due to the risk involved in their work.

I wouldn't have any issue with a guy solely because he was a policeman...that career field wouldn't deter me from dating someone I was attracted to...

I am sorry to say this but yes. I would have problems being friends with a police officer as well as dating one. Let's face it, being a police officer is a high risk job--need I say more? There are pressures plus everyday you are putting your life at risk daily. I admire the job that police officers do because it takes guts.

Not at all, my father is a state trooper, and well my hubby is in the military both of there jobs are dangerous, but its not about the mans occupation, as long as he knows how to handle him self. Its whats in his heart, and how well he can handle his job! If the man got a brain I say give the man a chance! Lord knows good men are hard to come by! Theres nothing more sexy than a man in uniform!

cops are no different then anyone else ok...it's just a job. yes i'd get involved with one and have been in the past. they like to do the same things as other men and no...you don't have to watch your back all the time. the worst part of it is worrying about their safety evetrytime they go to work....just cuz they wear a uniform doesn't mean they're different then anyone else

Listen girls......I've dated a few cops. They're just like anyone else. Don't let the uniform be that much of an impression. They can be just as nice....or just as much a jerk as the next guy. The only thing that sucks is worrying about their safety. But it's a job, and I give them props for it.

Nope. In My city, you're able to get the Police Foot Stomp, and be thrown int the back of a police motor vehicle. they do no longer screw around the place i'm. solid ole RCMP. the biggest bunch of asshole cops you're able to ever decide directly to bump into.

I don't think a mans "work title" equals his personality. What does him being a police officer have to do with what kind of person he is when hanging out, outside of the work place?
