Talking an average bluefin crab from Virginia. I'm getting them to feed a party of about 9. Figure a bushel ought to do it, right?

You don t need a side dish for a crab party. Your preparing a lot of crabs for just nine people. Just beer and crabs and you will be fine. I'm from Virginia (Norfolk) and that's what we had crabs and beer. Your guest will be full. Just have a lot of newspaper for the shells and napkins for the hands and you will be just fine.

Depends on the size of the crabs
Jumbo= 60-72
Large=72-84
Medium=84-96

anywhere from 60-100 depending on size. average is about 75 i would say.
if you're just eating crabs, no its not enough. if you have side dishes and such, its pretty good amount.
