The first thing I would do is Talk to my friend,
Never assume anything! Just because someone is Skinny does not make them anorexic!
Second get information. When? How long it's been going on? Third ask them what you can do to help.
Seek guidance from a counselor and if it continues and gets serious check them into a inpatient facility where he or she can stay and get the proper help they need!

Since I am anorexic, I would talk to her about it (or him!). I would encourage them to go to my therapist and offer to go with them. Anorexia is very difficult to deal with and having support is wonderful. Just like alcoholism, it never goes away. You can stop the behaviors, but you can't get rid of the disease. I would love and support my friend as best I could.

i was anorexic and am still in the process of mentally recovering from it. it is a very difficult thing. food becomes your obsession, your addiction. the best thing you can do is be there for them. do not throw food in their face and say, "you need to eat!" because it doesn't work. my friends tried and all that happened was the food they gave me ended up thrown on the floor. all it will do is make them mad. let them know that they can talk to you whenever they need to and that you will help them get better if they so choose. my best friend did that for me and it was the greatest thing in the world.

Take her to see someone who specializes in eating disorders. There are deep seated psychological issues involved w/ this disease that are to complex for you to deal with. Support her as a friend but get professional help

Tell to someone she respects a lot and can do something about because this thing is out of your hand. This need professional help and only a person who she respects can convince her to see someone.

Depends on how old she is. If she is young, tell her parents, then they can deal with it. If you don't say something, eventually she could die. If she is older, there isn't anything you can do about it. She is an adult and she can do what ever she wants.

Get her professional help. You can tell her being "perfect" in her eyes or anyone elses is not worth killing yourself over.
