I'm all for free speech, but I wouldn't want my child asking me what some of these images are supposed to be. We don't allow pornography on billboards or on public storefronts. We make convenience stores cover up the covers to porn mags. So why is it ok for people to put these vinyl decals on their cars? Who thinks people should do this? Who thinks this is wrong or offensive?

Examples: Betty boop without a shirt on; two "bathroom symbols" (I have seen homo- and heterosexual versions of this one) attached in the 69 position; naked woman bent over with her behind sticking up... just to name a few. I'm not even mentioning the naked mud-flap girls because they are in silouette, I figure they could be wearing something. That is where it started though. How far is it going to go before someone says something?

Because people are inconsiderate an don't care if they make other people uncomfortable. All some people care about nowdays is making themselves happy and they use free speech as an excuse to do whatever they want.

What if someone is offended by your Winnie the Pooh decals on your car or your first year window coverings. I know that sounds crazy but people are crazy . People who can't have children can sometimes get upset at seeing such things. Its better that you just explain such decals to your children , then they will understand them . They are going to hear about it anyways and they are eventually going to go out into the REAL world where they WILL be exposed to EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN .The more they know about the real world the better off they will be. If we create these little perfect fantasy worlds for them , They will grow up so sheltered that when they get out on their own they won't know what to do or how to connect with people that are different from them. They won't have as many social connections to help them along their way .

It's a Nascar thing. Beer, chrome titty mud flaps & etc. Their should be a decentcy regulation against the public display of these items, and while you at it what about all the shirts with FU%K on them or other nice words an phrases?

I guess I don't travel in the right part of town.
The only pornographic thing that I have seen on the road was mud flaps
on a truck which have a sillouette of a statuesque woman.
What are you seeing?
Don't get me wrong - I've seen plenty of offensive things on cars, but
none that were pornographic.

Do something about it - write to your local law makers, or legislative representatives! See what you can do to get the same rules in the grocery stores to be enforced on the road. Best wishes!

I know, really. The other day I was out with my fam, and I saw a guy with a shirt with some "inappropriate" joke. I have a 4 year old son who reads, and I'm just thinking, please don't let him see this...

They do it because they think it validates themselves . They have little self-respect for themselves or others and so they try to over-compensate for a huge lack of maturity by being obnoxious or gross .

I think it's pretty offensive, mostly because of what you said about children seeing. It's very low-class.
