you can take either a turkey baster or a suringe and put 2 teaspoons of Hydrogen Peroxide and squirt in down your dogs throat. This will make it get sick, which he should throw up the chocolate. Good Luck!!

Ok, you have received some good and bad info here. The worms are really rare in raw cookie dough, I assume you mean from the eggs. I would have this as your LAST concern. Your dog will more than likely be okay as the chocolate that is most dangerous to dogs is BAKERS Chocolate and unsweetened. Dogs and puppies do not have the ability as we humans do to digest a simple chemical found in chocolate called "Theobromine". It would take alot more of regular chocolate to make a dog sick only because the chocolate less pure andtherefore they contain a lower dosage of Theobromine
If you suspect your animal has eaten chocolate what signs do you look for? Toxic signs occur quickly so even if there is any question if your animal has consumed chocolate or not, take the animal to the vet. Do not wait to see if the animal will be alright because any delay in treatment can be devastating. Your dog, if untreated, can quickly go into convulsions, have arrythmia, stop breathing and go into a coma.
First your dog may start vomiting on its own. If not you can induce vomiting with a hydrogen peroxide solution of half peroxide and half water.
The animal will also experience severe diarreah which can cause the animal to dehydrate quickly.
Seek medical help immediately. Be sure to take to the vet the unfinished chocolate if any is left, and any wrappings from the chocolate. This will help the vet to identify the type of chocolate and the concentration of the candy.

You may not have to do anything, dogs are affected by chocolate differently. Some have stronger stomachs than others.
Here's some info about chocolate toxicity:
http://www.thepetprofessor.com/articles/article.aspx?id=185
If your puppy is still running around and acting normal an hour after the chocolate was consumed you're probably ok to go. He/she will probably get an upset stomach at best. Make sure he/she gets out a lot, you might be seeing some diarhea soon.
You shouldn't worry about worms.. your puppy should be getting treatment for worms right now.. they almost always have worms at that age, and testing for it does not always work. They need 2 doses of the worm meds, often 3.

He won't get worms, as that's a parasitic infection that's not related to eating sweets. Some dogs, and I stress, some, have a toxic reaction to chocolate, so don't panic yet. Do you have an syrup of ipecac? That's a solution you can give to small children to make them vomit up what is in their stomachs. You can find it at any drugstore. It will make him vomit like mad, but you'll get up what's down there. Ask a vet if it's okay to give ipecac to the dog (I believe it is) and then get someone to run go get some quickly.

Since he's so young you really should take him to the vet. If he was older he might be fine but Im not sure because of his age. I heard if a dog takes a bite of you chocolate bar he should be fine but like i said hes a puppy and you dont know how toxic chocolate is to him. Take him to the vet asap.

I know its expensive to take your dog to the vet but it might be the only thing. My dog ate a whole bag of chocolate one night and she was fine but if your dog starts getting sick you need to take em to the vet... About the worm issue tho, you NEED to go see a vet NOW! Your dog is ill and needs help which it can only get from a practicing veternarian...

Dogs cant get worms from eating chocolate. My dog ate a big chocolate bar and threw up for days. Let him through up and keep a good eye on him. Watch his breathing to see if it slows down.
Wish for the best!

Where there worms in the chocolate? Then he won't get worms. It depends on how much he ate. If it is just a little, then he is probably ok, but I would watch him.

Ahhh! If it's dark chocolate, you should be worried. But it'll take around 8oz. of milk chocolate to pose a serious threat to dogs because the chocolate is diluted with milk. You should get him checked out anyway to make sure he's fine.

Just take him to your local vet ASAP!!! they'll just give him a shot to counteract the affects of the chocolate. HURRY before some of these people get nasty and tell you that's what you should have done instead of waiting for some answers.
