Women, do you like men to be direct?

I met this girl two weeks ago, I've been very direct w/ her, no signs, I've told her that I like her, that she is very sweet (and she is) and that I'm interested in her, the thing is that she hasn't turn me down yet, but she just acts as if she can't hear what I'm saying, she doesn't give me a sign that I like her too, but she sometimes sends me messages to my cel phone to see how am I doin', but talks to me as a friend not as a potential boyfriend, Do you like men to be so straightforward?

Most women prefer directness - goodness knows I do! However, there's a fine line between 'direct' and 'creepy', and you have to make sure you don't cross it. Telling a girl you just met that you'd think she's interesting and would love to take her out sometime is great. Telling a girl you just met she might be the love of your life if she just gave you a chance, isn't. I'm not saying you've crossed the line - from the sound of it, you're right on track. However, since she hasn't responded to your advances thus far, my guess is that she's not interested in you in a romantic way. You could try asking her out to coffee (or something equally casual), and see what she says. If there's any hesitation at all, or if she turns you down, then I'm afraid you're destined for the friend's list. If she accepts, treat it like a date. If she let's you pay for everything with minimal objections, then she's probably interested. If she insists on paying for herself, then she's probably not. Good luck!

YES especially older women, I would assume, would prefer a direct guy rather than mystery and games. I would be outta my dress so fast if my standoffish guy would just be direct once in a while.
