OK. If it was a cold dish here you go...
Soften cream cheese, let stand at room temp until soft, we use 'Philadelphia' Brand it is the best. Spread 1/2" thick in dish 8x8x2, for bigger dish use another block of cream cheese. Once spread, pour cocktail sauce over cheese to about 1/4", You can make your own with ketchup, Worcestershire and horseradish. Then take cooked shrimp or crab, arrange on top and serve with crackers. Easy fast and good!

Yep. My mom used to make this all the time when company came over. You spread a 8oz brick of softened cream cheese on a plate, top it with cocktail sauce (or salsa) and then salad shrimp. Service with crackers. YUM-O!
I've made a version of this but have mixed half cocktail sauce and half spicy bloody mary mix. That's my favorite way, but you can change up this recipe any way you want to suit your tastes.

Soften the cream cheese, add a little old bay seasoning (to taste) and about 1/2 cup of mayo. Dice up a green onion and add to the mixture and stir well. Then add some freshly cracked black pepper and about a tsp or kosher salt. Mix well.
Last but not least, add your cooked salad shrimp and stir.
Serve on crackers, or on a platter with crackers around it.
Everytime I make this I get raves, and it's soooo easy!
Hope ya like it. ;)
