What kind of papers? AKC papers just mean you know who the parents are (big whoop). Continental Kennel Club papers just mean that someone forked over money to a scam "pet registry" so they could put "Registered" on their dogs.
If the puppies are registered, their parents are finished show dogs, are outstanding examples of the breed, and have the traits that make them excellent shih tzus that should have their genes passed on, then several hundred dollars.
If they're "papered" puppies whose parents were thrown together because you had them so you could say you had "pure bred shih tzu puppies for sale" then about $50, because that's what you can get a "pure bred shih tzu" from the pound for - there are tons of them out there already that need homes.
Please spay and neuter your dogs, instead of contributing to the overpopulation problem that kills 4-6 million dogs and cats every year.

Look if you can prove that your puppies are made from bread than you shouldn't settle for anything less than a couple million. I mean that is a scientific breakthrough of extraordinary preportions. And the fact that it's pure bread is going to make it that much easier to sell.

Depends on the area you live in. Around here a male sells for $350 a female for $400. These dogs have papers- although many of them are limited AKC (their pups would not be eligible for AKC).

We bought ours for 300$, both parents were AKC, she has great markings and awesome temperment, show qualtity pup. But the breeder was also the pastor of our church who we knew personally even outside of church. But I can't see paying much more that that for one, unless the lines are really really good AND you are planning on showing.

Are both parents AKC certified? If so they will be worth more than 2 parents that are not.
