If it is, how is it bad?

No, not if it is prepared right. It can actually be quite healthy.

"Raw foods (such as your sushi, often made of raw fish) are generally the best for preserving enzymes and other nutrients, as long as the foods are fresh. Time, heat, freezing, microwaving and so on destroy those nutrients in a hurry. Nowadays, the main concern with raw foods is bacterial. Not all foods at the sushi bar are raw, and those that are tend to be well controlled (that is, free from harmful bacteria), as a restaurant's reputation can be blown pretty easily with a mishap.

The "raw is okay" edict does not extend to oysters, in my opinion. Oysters, which sit in mucky beds on the bottom of bodies of water of often-questionable quality, are a gamble. Tread carefully where those are concerned, if you must eat them at all."

Actually, sushi is very healthy for a human body. It's probably also why more people on the East of the world are skinnier than the West, because the eat healthier. But because it's raw fish, you still have to be a little careful. Sometimes raw fish can get spoiled, so if you have children, I would suggest to hold on the sushi if you are overly protective of them. I've had sushi before, but the fish was cooked. It tastes pretty good too, everything in a piece of sushi is healthy. Fish, seaweed, rice, vegetables... it's a pretty good dieting food. So back to your question, sushi is very good for you, but I guess you don't know what could happen about the raw fish.

Actually, Sushi is very healthy, as long as you're getting it from a reputable source and it isn't old. If raw fish bothers you, there are plenty of cooked Sushi items to try.

Some fish contain excessive levels of mercury and eating too much can cause mercury poisoning. Children and pregnant women should be especially careful and avoid too much fish. Too much tuna (raw, canned or cooked) can be dangerous.

Personally, I love sushi! I just eat it in moderation.

It isn't bad if the fish is handled & prepared properly. I think it is gross because I hate to eat fish (though I wish I liked it). Also, if I were to ever eat it, I would definitely get a Hepatitis A vaccination (they give this to kids how) because you can get Hepatitis A from undercooked fish. I always tell my sushi eating friends.

It's not bad for you...it's actually very good for you. Sushi, when prepared right...is stored at a specific extreme freezing temperature for a certain amount of time to kill the bacteria and make it safe for consumption. It's free of preservatives and all the other crap most people put on food that makes it unhealthy.

there is a risk of getting food poisoning or parasites from it if the fish is not super fresh and from a good source. The risk is low, but not insignificant. Dont' know how safe it is compared to hamburger or other foods we eat on a regular basis.

The fish is actually really good for you and easy to digest. The reason it is bad for your health is because toxic minerals and metals (like mercury) find their way into the fish before you can eat and enjoy.

As long as the fish is fresh and the chef washes their hands, you are fine. It is possible to get sick with poorly handled fish - but in general it is okay.

It is not recommended for late/early pregnant women.
