I had the same problem. my son is now 10 months old, and I was in rock solid shape before him too.. I'm not back there yet, but I find the key is in the routine... I found that by forcing myself back into a routine of doing cardio at least 4 times a week, I feel much better. it even makes me crave healthier foods, and want to work out more. good luck!

well my brothers girlfriend had 2 kids with him the 1st is 2yrs the second 11mth.she was a skinny chick. and she gained weight some people gain the weight and lose it. since u had a baby u know u dnt have time and its harder becuz u have a kid. so u probally dont try because u know u dont have time.u have a child to take care of so the only thing on your mind is your child. as s/he gets older then u can go out 2 the gym.in the mean time just do some 5crunches and 10 push ups, and 20 jumping jacks. u wont see results untill a lot later becase u build muscle and then your new muscle burns the fat.

i agree! i too have had a hard time getting motivated to do stuff, and my girl is 18 months old. i find that every night we go for a walk, even if it is around the block...just 10 minutes of something a day helps. at night, use cleaning time as a workout, instead of bending over to pick up the toys, try doing squats instead. when you are cooking, take a can of veggies in each hand and use them as weights. just little things help, you may not notice it but it definetly shows!!!!

I know what your saying- when your in the normal routine of going and working out you feel great, look great and keep motivated but then you start missing one session here and then 2 sessions turn to 3, 4, 5 and then it's hard to get back into the gym! I need to get off my duff too... ;o)

I know the feeling, having a kid takes it out of a woman. It only got more difficult for me until I went to work at a nursing home. I was on my feet 8-12-sometimes 16 hours a day. That took the weight off fast!

Nope. I'm motivated. I only gained 13-16 lbs during my pregnancy, and lost it immediately. Whenever I have gotten a bit chubby in my life, I just looked at myself naked in the mirror, and I was motivated!
Plus I love working out, even though I get really tired and "when am i gonna be done?" keeps passing through my head.
I'm in better shape now than I was before. I wasn't fat before my child, but I wasn't in shape; I was just skinny.
Now, just 5 months later, I'm skinny, and toned.

there's nothing wrong with you. haveing a child takes a lit out of you. m daughter is now 7 and i am still finding it hard to stick to a workout plan. you can ind ways to workout with your son though. use him as a weight...babies loved being picked up....turn it into an excersice. put him in his walker and do sit up and peek a boo at the same time

Depends on many factors.
Your baby is using up all your energy, for one.
Try to go to bed earlier and getting up earlier, maybe you can work-out while baby is still asleep and you are fresh for the day.
Motivation is all a state-of-mind thing, you have to "will" yourself back in to motovation. Make the time. Give yourself rewards for working out... but not sweets! Like a movie rental or something.
