My doctor has perscribed inderal for migrains i have not started on it yet i have heard so many bad side effects one says weight gain is a big problem i do not need that i am on lezapro 20 mg a day and i am now feeling good .

A good friend of mine is on Lexapro. She gained about 10 pounds, but wasn't physically active. She started working out, and is losing the weight she gained. If you ask me, 10 pounds is a small sacrifice for peace of mind. If you exercise and watch what you eat, you shouldn't have a problem. I've heard the Lexapro works wonders.

Inderal is a medication that is prescribed for arrithmias, and is not a good medication, from what everyone I have talked to who used it has said...I can't imagine why he would give you something like that for headaches? Do you have heart problems,..? I am glad the lexapro is helping your depression, but I would not take the inderal, unless you have heart problems..but I am not your doctor, and I cannot say, Lexapro itself can put on weight...I think you should research this on google or yahoo and see if you can find the side effects or talk to someone else about this medication

Don't know how old you are or if it is an issue but a big side effect of lexapro is anorgasmnia. Which mean you may not be able to have an orgasm
