advantages: these are the intangible benefits of parenting that you can only appreciate once you have children. such as the first "i love you", holding tiny hands, the experience of nuturturing and teaching a brand new person. the knowledge that you had NO idea how much capacity for love you had until you saw your child for the first time.

disadvantages: you now have to be a responsible person 24/7. there is no such thing as a "day off", there is the financial aspect, as well as a time commitment.

regardless of how many things i could put in the "cons" list though, they could NEVER come close to the "pros". having children is an amazing experience, and it can teach you more about yourself and the world than you ever thought possible.

I would say when having children there are advantages and disadvantages....but everything have disadvantages to it and it should't prevent u frm having children...these disadvantages will end up being future blessings:
Advantages:
1) U will have someone to look after you when you are old
2) They will lighten up ur life with laughter and joy (esp babies)
3) You will have passed on ur DNA and so u can live thru them when u die
4) U will have someone who looks up to u
5) They will bring some meaning to ur life

Disadvantages
1)Can be disobeying sometimes
2) Can go in their own ways
Most of the other disadvantages are rooted from these two causes :)

Well the advantages of course are the love and caring. The experience of having created a life. The joy and the sorrow. The disadvantages are that your life is changed, and if your not responsible now, you better be when your raising a child. I would say the biggest disadvantage would be the awesome responsibility, knowing that you need to be the best person you can be, this is also in itself a reward, but never the less frightening.

Benefits Of Having Children

If u want to have kids, u cannot look for advantages. Just accept the disadvantages s they come. In this 21st centr. people no longer hope for their kids to bring some financial help once they can stand on their own feet, not like b4 when (particularly the baby boomers) had to help parents financially. So, have kids with the intention of loving them, helping them grow into responsible adults (for themselves, at least). Don't expect anything in return from them. Yr advantage as a parent? IDK . perhaps, just to say u have been a successful parent, having raised responsible child(ren) ? MOST kids don't think they owe their parents anything! But if they r eager to provide u with any "advantage", be thankful to yr Creator!

Disadvantages: Nappies smell and you have to change them between 4 to 7 times a day up to age of 3!

Constantly buying baby clothese for first few months or year as they keep growing!

Tantrums when they get older!

Costly on school clothes!

Costly on lots of toys and presents!

Pros: Can give you lots of joy and happiness!

advantages of children are spending time with them, loving them, doing things with and for, seeing them smile when they are happy, teaching them right from wrong. Hanging up their art work, birthday parties, christmas, bragging on your kids, Seeing them grow up to be responsible citizens, you will have grandchildren and tax credits. Look back on their accomplishments, feel free when they make it on their own.

Disadvantages, they may not turn out good, they are demanding, your life isn't your own for 20+ years, getting up early, going to bed late, homework help, they cost a lot, they want everything, they worry you to death, you have to buy extra food, and other things, driving lessons, cars and wrecks, boy or girl friends, they could make the wrong decisions. They could come back to live with you.

U never know how kids will turn out, if they grow up with morals (which everyone wants) then having them would have been advantageous. Hopefully they would give u a decent burial and take care of you in your golden years. If they grow up doing drugs, fighting, breaking laws, dropping out or living lives of crime that would be a disadvantage. You could then wind up in a potters field.
