Prayer really does work. In my own life, 92% of my specific written prayer requests have been answered. I make sure that they are specific, so that I can't say later on, "Oh, that must be an answer!" when it really wasn't. Of those answered, 84% of them were answered "Yes." I still have four prayers from the years 2000-2003 that are still unanswered.
The 8% unanswered prayers, (including those from the 2000-2003 period) are being prayed for daily, as I expectantly wait an answer.
You cannot call that kind of rate coincidental. Perhaps 50% would be, but not 92%. There must be Something to it.

What's pathetic is your grammar. Prove your theory about 1 out of 100 prayers working. You can't!! Come back with a question that has some fact behind it, any shred of evidence would be great. Quit pulling garbage out of your pathetic little pea brain and passing it off as fact.

My son needed braces because he had buck teeth and was being teased and taunted at school. I took him to the orthodontist and they wanted $3,400.00 to complete all the work regarding the braces and all his visits. I sat in my kitchen crying that night because I did not have the money and I felt so sorry for him. I prayed to Jesus for help. The next day I received a letter in the mail from a job I had years before this that they were dissolving the retirement plan and forwarding all employees their money. I received a check two weeks later for the exact amount $3,400.00. I never even knew I had a retirement plan at that job. Thank you Jesus.

At my old school the principal prayed for the amount of money needed to be the building and it was exact to the cent. There are so many other stories, I don't want to judge you but like Jesus said some people's ears and eyes are closed to the truth. Read the Bible not as just text but open your eyes to the spiritual message. If you and others think we are crazy you should read because the Bible says many thinks about how people are deceived and don't believe. Thanks God bless you

I think it is actually pathetic when any christian
over expresses what a prayer actually does.
Always there is a momentum of answers that
live inside us that have nothing to do with life after death...
The most empty pathetic thing I ever witness
was an imprisoned soul, trying to figure out
what it came to be alive for...
because all they knew was living and dying
spell empty.
so save some sympathy for the empty christian
who can only stay till death do them part....

actually whether you call it praying or simply sending out positive thoughts it is known to have an effect
there was an experiment done in a hospital where half the ward was prayed for over a number of days and half wasn't , and there was significant changes in those that were prayed for
these sort of tests are carried out regularly by scientific investigators

Pathetic????????? when you are only a prayer away from Heaven?
Pathetic????????? when all you need is a miracle?
Pathetic????????? when God already knows what you need before you ask?
Pathetic????????? when God always answers all 100 times........."Yes,No or Wait?"
Pathetic????????? we can ask our earthly Father, but not our Heavenly One?
Pathetic????????? every wish you make is a prayer.
Who's is the idiot? The one who acknowledged there is a God or the one who refused to pray? Dumb? no, just foolishness on your part.
Why are you still running from God?

Well actually it is far more interesting then that. Prayer sets up a psychological state where the issue or event that is troublesome is no longer troublesom because "It is in God's hands" and this lowers the stress level which in turn allows the person to address the issue himself/herself in a creative way and finds a resolution to the issue at hand. Prayer is probably one of the oldest forms of motivational psychology.

Is it retarded for someone to be stuck in hi surf during a storm in the middle of the ocean to suddenly find God? How about 3 seconds before the first bullet rips you in front of a firing squad..

God answers prayers!!! Get it? Pure and simple.....Bet you wished you had that power. My life runs smooth when I pray and much happier. Things no human could of made happen. Grow up and ask for his love and forgiveness. You can't bring down believers to your level.....
