A girl approached me in a club on Saturday night, we talked for a few minutes but she had to go so she gave me her phone # and told me to call her whenever so I called her last night and we talked for about 2(!) minutes, asked each other typical questions, and she said she was tired and wanted to go to bed and to call her later. now i hear that when a girl GETS OFF the phone with a GUY to go to sleep, thats never a good sign. what could it mean? should i call her again or no?

I don't think it means anything bad - Maybe she doesn't like talking on the phone or was playing hard to get - Call her in a few nights time and ask her on a date.

Did you ever think that she was telling the truth?
I know that if I am talking to someone on the phone and I get tired then I just tell them. She could have really been tired and wanted to go to sleep. She may have had to get up early in the morning for work or school (college).

So I would say yes that you should call her. She wouldn't have given you her phone number if she didn't like you in the first place.

I've never told a guy that I had to get off the phone to sleep except when I really needed to go to sleep. When relationships are first starting, I think you need to take the other person at face-value. Why start a relationship being skeptical and not trusting her? If she said she needed sleep but to call her later, then call her later. Try earlier in the day/evening next time. If she doesn't answer her calls or returns voicemails (I'd give it three times with a day or so in between), then I'd say you need to cut your losses.

Definitely call her again. Its very possible that she actually was tired. Until she tells you she doesn't want to talk to you, do not to worry about the little things. And definitely don't ask her if she still wants to talk to you or if she's blowing you off. You'll sound like you are desparate and she'll think you are not confident.

Could be anything.
It could have been the truth. Maybe she was tired.
She could have run out of things to say or been worried that she would. Maybe she's trying to keep you guessing. Maybe she needed to go to the toilet but didn't want to say that.

You shouldn't listen to what other people tell you, all these myths. Everyone is different. Do what feels right.

You're reading way too much into it. Give it a second chance.

If she said to call her, call her! Don't try to read into it.
