As the fact that te ink is slightly poisonous It can indeed make you sick. Besides one must think practically as well. Would you like to spent 6 or more hours at one end under the needle? The longest i've had on one tattoo was 3 hours and that was more that enough for me thanks!!!

first of all, do not be in a rush

second of all, hes a tattooist, i think he would know, why wouldnt you take his opinion.

your skin begins to swell after a little while and theres only so much he can do, the max time ive ever seen or spent myself under a needle is 3 hours, and by then yourre very tender and it will begin to hurt after a while, so calm the **** down and do it in as many sessions as it takes

It might feel good to have a tatoo now, but what will it feel like in thirty or fourty years time.

Think very carefully. I know many people who have wonderful tatoos, but everybody gets bored with them after a few years. You can't just tear them out and start a new page you know.

Why bother, really. It might be trendy, but it's still pretty stupid. I did many stupid things when I was young, but I'm really, really glad that I never had a a tattoo. Old tattoos look really tatty don't you think?

What do you think the world will be like in fourty years time with loads of sixty and seventy year olds walking about with piercings and tatoos!!

It's not necessarily the Ink levels in your body, it's the amount of time you suffer the pain and the amount of pain you suffer before your body will go into shock! Dude, the tattooist is an expert in this field, why ignore his advice!!

It would probably be best to go with what the artist says. Your tat may have a lot of detail that would be painful for him to do all in one sitting. Plus it is a shock to your body as well. Everyone's tolerance is different but it's best to do large or heavily detailed work in sessions.

It's not that it's is illegal in the UAE but rather, there is no business entity inside the UAE that specialize in tattoo making. Most of the establishments in the UAE matter of fact - offers tattoo removal ! I wish I can introduce you to my brother who last month got a tattoo (japanese characters) just below his back neck and another character (dont know what!) just at the back of his left shoulder. All done in Dubai !!!

that's bullshit, the amount of time you can sit on a tattoo would depend upon your pain tolerance. I've sat 6+ hours before, it has nothing to do with "too much ink in your system".

A friend of mine had a tattoo going all the way from his wrist to his shoulder and he had to do it over a period of a few months. I don't know the reason but when you say that it's probably why.

About 3 hours at a time in the chair man. not necessarily sick from the ink but you can get sick from sterilizing agents like iodine. Take your time and do it right.

It is true. If it is a larger piece or if it has lots of detail, it shouldn't all be done in one setting. I think 4 hours is the max.
