thoracolumbar area is like would it be L4 L5? My duaghters MRI show severe scoliosis at the thoracolumbar junction and the doc wants to pass her on to another doc and didn't tell us if that was what could be causing her pain. She has pain in many areas (due to tumors) and if we could idenitfy one area it would make her feel better knowing what it is that could be causing it besides the tumors.

Thanx

Try the site below. Ignore the subject matter and scroll down a bit — there's two diagrams, the second which clearly slows the thoracolumbar area.

No, thoracolumbar would be in the general area where the thoracic vertebrae meet the lumbar vertebrae.

In other words, probably includes T-11, T-12, L-1, and L-2.

Based on my anatomy knowledge -- I am a Radiologic Tech (I take x-rays).

Not absolutely certain -- you should see what others have to say.
