Sleeping fetal position, on your right side. Takes the weight off of your heart, allows your lungs to breathe properly without the stress and weight of the rib cage and other organs.

Put a pillow between the knees to level out your spine.

On your left side (it takes pressure off your internal organs). With a pillow between your knees (it helps align the hips better and take stress off your lower back. Your left leg should be bent more than your right leg (if you choose to bend your legs.) a doctor told me this but it sure feels darn awkward. I like support against my back when I lay on my side.... a warm body or a firm body pillow does the trick.

I sleep on my side, slightly jack-knifed arm under my head....course I have a *really* posh bed that gives great back support--gift from Stearns & Foster!

I like laying on your side. It opens up your airway, and allows you to breathe easier. It's good for people that snore.

Flat on your back is much better for your spine than any other position.
