My mom's birthday is in a couple of weeks, she will be 41. She says that she loves the homemade gifts the most. My brother and I usually just take a cute picture together, he is 4 and I am 19, and I will put it in a cute frame, and she puts it in her office or something.
But you can only take so many pictures before that gets old.
I am not a very creative person, and I cannot think of anything "creative and homemade" to make for my mom for her birthday.
Does anybody have ANY ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My little sister and I once had a picture calendar made for her. Those are a great gift because its personal and it has purpose.
Another cool gift is a mixed CD that has her favorite songs. You could also attempt to do needle-point and make her a pillow.

How bout you burn a cd with songs telling yourmom how u guys feel about her. the following are suggested songs
1. The Perfect Fan By Backstreet Boys
2. A Song For Momma by Boyz 2 Men
3. Thank You Momma by Sizzla
4. I'll Love You Anyway by Shyam
You could also bake her a cake from scratch
here is a recipe for 2 pound of cake
1. Add 1 pk of stick butter and 11/2 of sugaruntil seem a little fluffy
2. Add 6 eggs and mix again
3. Add 2llb of flour little at a time at the same time add 1 large and 1 small carnation milk.
4. But b4 adding the flour make sure it is properly strained in the flour add 6 table spoons of baking powder b4 u add it to the blended sugar eggs and butter
5. Add essence flavor of your choice

Have you ever done a themed gift? Since it will still be summer... or early fall at least, consider a "say goodbye to summer package!" In a basket or beach bucket from the grocery store, put in a tropical or fruity smelling lotion or body wash from the body shop or bath and body works. Add a bracelet or necklace from Breezy Beach Wear (www.breezybeachwear.com), or a shirt from their apparel page, and a beach movie that she'd like (if she likes classics, get her Gidget or Blue Hawaii. If she likes newer, get her 50 1st dates).
She'll love the thought you put into it! Then burn a cd of beach music!

yeah, i got a great idea for you. you should get her a mothers ring. what it is, is a ring that is made of you and your brothers birthstones. if you cannot afford to do that, try an astrological tree. this is you astrological sign in a type of collage with happy birthday, thanks for giving us life written on it. why not try you and your brother going out and making her a hand made flower arrangement. very inexpensive, but beautiful and from the heart. good luck

Trying making a collage of you and your brother doing stuff together like when he was barely a baby and you were taking care of him or something to now... That'll be cute too..

Have your little brother draw a picture, and get it screened onto a cake or something.
Otherwise, the pottery painting sounds awesome. We did that for my dad's 40th. It was cool.

How about you and your brother go to a pottery painting place and paint something for her? A cup, mug, plate, bowl, picture frame, etc...just something from you and from him. They provide everything needed and the cost is minimal. It's also great bonding time for you and your brother!

First you should make her a nice handmade card (very colorful).Then maybe a beaded bracet with cool beads and charms.Oh and the card should say #1 mom.
