reaffirming my faith?

Question

I was saved when I was 12 years old,but became lost a few years ago,and I am now finding my way back to the Lord.I have always been a poet, and if you like this poem, would anyone like to read others that I have written?It expresses how I felt,and how I'm feeling now. All my poems are covered by a copyright.

The Last of the Shadow Fades Away
Morbid poems I have been writing
For with myself I have been fighting
Shadowed words for a shadowed mind
But I really think it's time
To put away the shattered past
And find contentment, God at last
Glad again to be alive
This one thing I hope to strive
To be the person I used to be
No, she's still inside of me
I buried her deep, wanted to forget
But now, that's the one thing I regret
Shadows lift away, return no more
I want the person I was before
Set me free, no longer stay
The last of the shadow fades away

One morning at age 29, I woke up with a very bad hangover in a hotel room that I didn't remember paying for and asked myself,"What are you doing to yourself?" And the answer tot hat is I don't know, but I'm pretty scared. Is there any chance that God will take me back? Have I messed up too badly? Some people wouldn't believe what I have done in my life. I can't believe I'm posting this here, but I figure that I have to start somewhere, and I've seen some intelligent answers. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Are there any websites that I can go to that will also help me reaffirm my faith? Can someone just pray with me, for me, and give me a little boost? Thank You

Just get yourself into a church somewhere and most of all stay prayed up and in the word the bible God will always take you back and clean you from your past.Good poems.

Lord I just ask that you touch this person Lord who wants to get closer to you.Strengthen their walk with you Lord and help them in their new walk when they need you Lord and when they dont I thank you for being there for them and blessing them and helping them to be more like you and less like the world in Jesus Holy name Amen.

Honey, I will say what the others who where in support of you could not say for being criticized:The people who spoke against you are nothing but a ssess, and I'll say it because I am not afraid to say it;I don't come in this section, and now I know why. A person should be able to practice their faith without fear of prosecution, and it's sick that so many people who should have a right to speak their own opinion or discuss their religion are forced to whisper because they are shouted down by ignorant savages who need to at least understand what the heck they're against before they all unite to push people into a corner. This is the RELIGION sections, you morons. You have the whole rest of Y!A to find people to insult and harass, and that's what it has turned into-pure harassment. So why don't ya'll go pick on someone your own brain-size.

You my friend are obviously not a Christian in the common idea of what a Christian is.

You are thinking entirely too much and to independently too ever be one.

Judging from the clarity and order of your comments, you are ready to move on.

If you are seeing this clearly on your own you are probably ready for a graduate course in reality and human relations.

I suggest that you get a book called the course in miracles. It somewhat exhaustively explains many of the ideas you are talking about in great detail.

It’s well worth the effort. I have worn out my first copy, and had to get a new one.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. That was very brave. It helped me. It always does. The Bible says "we are saved by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony."
I also did things I am ashamed of and more than that I failed at everything. But now I serve God and the more I know Him , the more I love Him. He is the One True thing in my life.

likely American creationists, the coolest deal of them. united statesa. is in serious psychological hardship, and with about 70% of Christians subscribing to the pseudoscientific twaddle of creationism, there is little or no desire for a sensible secular society. we will purely might want to attend till heritage repeats itself, and American-form Christianity is going to the trash heap of mythology and folklore, the position it belongs. contained in the interim, take heart and confirmation that Dawkins, Dennett, Hitchens, and Shermer are waging the conflict for rationality, reasonableness, common sense, and hardship-free experience for some thing persons. When you ask JESUS to SAVE you, your Spirit get's RECREATED.
Your Spirit dosen't Flip-Flop between Recreated and Messed-Up, every time you Sin after your Saved.

You can only get RECREATED (Saved) ONCE on this EARTH.
Unless you commit the Unpardonable SIN that Messes-up your Spirit back to LOST Big-Time, your Still a Child of GOD (Spirit Recreated) no matter how much of the Lessor's Sin's (murder, stealing, gay, lying, so on) you commit.
