In my opinion the best work out is cleaning house! Washing walls take care of flabby arms and tummy. Climbing a step stool to reach the top of windows and doors keeps those thighs toned. And in general, working up a good sweat decreases your over all weight! Gardening will produce the same results. Why waste time working out in the gym when you can clean house or do your gardening and accomplish two things instead of one? And then there's the fact that house cleaning and gardening doesn't require you to pay for a membership! And they both are good workouts to keep the heart pumping!

Hi Alex!

It really depends what your goal is. I am going to assume it is to tone up your body, since that is what 90% of the people want out there. If this is the case it is done via diet and exercise. Since you asked about exercise, I would tell you that anything that keeps you moving and that you enjoy is the best form of exercise. For me, this is weight training and martial arts. For my wife, it is walking, and elliptical while watching TV or listening to music. For others, it is walking the dog or shopping. Etc.

The whole point is that if you enjoy it, you will keep doing it, which is important if you want to tone up your body.

I believe this answers your question, but if not let me know.

Good luck with your diet and fitness goals!

Squats are the best and to me the most painful. Aerobics, walking, running, Tae-Bo, Anything really works good as long as you stick to it. Certain ones work better to target specific areas. Really depends on your personal goals.
