It depends on what type you are talking about. Not all cholestrol is bad. If it is the bad kind you are referring to, then it maybe possible. If you are referring to good cholestrol, then the answer would be no. Cholestrol in itself is not visible outwardly. It is a person's fat that you see. (Generally obese people have high cholestrol at one point or another. However, there are bizzare cases of skinny people getting it. I happen to be one of them.)

The best way to regulate your consumption of bad cholestrol is eating healthy. Big news, I know. Avoid processed foods, such as cheese and T.V. dinners and fast food restaurants.

Not necessarily, it would depend on where you get your cholestrol from.

If you get it from fattening foods like cream, fried food etc then you are likely to put on weight.

However there are some suprising sources of high cholestrol such as prawns and eggs which may not be high in calories but will increase your cholestrol count.

Cut down on the prawns and eat as little fatty high cholestrol food as possible. There are yogurts and spreads which claim to reduce cholestrol and I have heard that a nut oil can reduce your count.

No not necessarily. A thin person can have high cholesterol levels as well as an overweight person. It depends on what you eat and the amount of satured fat in your diet. Do you mean calories because you can't measure cholesterol levels on food packaging? If it's fat you are talking about then its 70g (I think) per day for a man.

What? Fat makes you look fat. Cholesterol is bad for your heart, if you get too much of it. Cholesterol problems can run in families (mine has them) and eventually get very expensive. But it isn't the cholesterol itself that makes you look big.

My advice is to follow the Food Pyramid, it'll tell you what to eat.

No, it is not necessary, being obese can be the reason for high cholesterol or it helps to increase cholesterol in the body, but it is not necessary to look fat if you have high cholesterol, some thin people also have high cholesterol problem.

your body makes all the cholesterol it needs, you do not have to eat any food in order to have cholesterol in your diet.Too much cholesterol is sometimes made by your liver in which case you will need to take medicine, cholesterol does not effect your appearance.
