I think is okay, but mainly for fat women. My wife and I only see fat women and older women coming out of the one near our house. It is also very expensive and requires a lot of money up front. At curves you basically go from machine to machine around some music. At your age, I would save the money and just take up jogging, swimming, or at home aerobics. The curves work won't really get your toned. You need to do some weighttraining too (you won't get big!) such as dumbbell swats and curls and pushups on your knees.

If you decide to join Curves or another gym, then go there first and ask for a tour. Some places let you try as a guest for a small fee. Do this first before you fork out a lot of money for amembership

It is a great place for women of all ages. What makes Curves so appealing is that it is exclusively for women and the instructors are "real women" with "real bodies." You'll never feel self conscious or like your not making progress. I should know, I worked there for 3 years, until I moved up north. Good luck, and it's great you want to be healthy at such a young age.

i would just try to join a regular gym like Gold's gym or Merritt Athletic Club. Curves is a older lady place and not meant for 15 year olds. plain running on a treadmill and light weight lifting is better

i go and i love it, but i am 38--it is fun because it is so quick and easy, only 30 minutes, and i figure for 30mins how bad can anything be--just join, you will be in and out in such a short time you won't even notice and you will start noticing results on your shape!--maybe you can get a friend to join, or ask if they will give a discount for your school or something.

It's not just for older women. It's great and it combines low aerobic and weight resistance. I love it! Why don't you ask them for a guest pass to help you determine if it's the right gym for you.

I think it's great for any age or size. I joined last year (I was 18) simply to stay in shape and I really enjoy it. They focus on what your individual body needs and things.
