yes, you can take your insulin on board as well as a snack. just not a "liquid" snack.
check with the airline as they are continually changing what will be and not be allowed on board.

You cannot bring any liquids through the security checkpoints, they must be checked in your baggage. The posts above say that insulin is and exception. You can bring a snack if it's not liquid. Sandwiches, chips, hard candies are fine. You will be able to buy a drink to bring on the plane once you make it through security.

Diabetics can take insulin and needles on board. Depending on airline policy you may be able to keep it on your person, or it may be held by cabin crew available upon request - but in either case you don't have to check it. I'd mention it on check-in tho, they may give you some special paperwork to show to security check, which will make your life easier. Snack is fine, make-up isn't allowed.

Insulin is allowed, makeup is not.

call the airline to be sure but i know when i fly I needed a written prescription from my doctor for needles, lancets, and insulin in my possesion at checkin.
