Don't know that there's a Medical Marijuana ID card (California is still working out the details on that), but there are prescriptions for Medicinal Marijuana. Once you get a prescription, you can go to a dispensary and get whatever marijuana you want.
Come to Bakersfield, California! Here in Bakersfield, both the prescriptions and the dispensaries are available. And since marijuana offers relief to a number of ailments, it's relatively easy to get the prescription and then the marijuana.

I know that people who have a type of cancer smoke marijuana but there is no card.
